Chapter 0018 – Is There Any Forest with Creatures That Could Be Used for Training

******

"We are staying," Xylen repeated, his voice calm and controlled.

'This…' Lilith blinked, still feeling as though something was wrong with her ears.

"But… but my Lord, you… you are just an ordinary demon who has never trained before, let alone obtained a class. How do you plan to face your uncle and his minions?" she finally asked after a moment, her voice strained and heavily laced with helplessness

Hearing her, Xylen wasn't offended. Instead, he smiled softly.

He perfectly understood what Lilith meant.

If truly he had been… his avatar had been in a coma since he was two years old and had only just awakened today, after 20 years, then it was only natural that he would have received no training. He should be nothing more than a weak chicken, easily crushed with a mere twist of the neck.

But what Lilith failed to understand, however, was that he was a gamer using the avatar. And if there was one thing a gamer excelled at, it was defying norms and leveling up as fast as possible.

Thinking this, Xylen smiled softly, and then;

"You said my uncle and his men are not in the city today, didn't you?" he asked suddenly.

"Yes, my Lord," Lilith hurriedly nodded her head, then thinking for a second, she added urgently. "And that's why today is the best and only chance we have to escape."

Xylen smirked, then as though he hadn't heard the second part of Lilith's urgent words. "That's great, then," he responded excitedly, thinking; 'This must be why I was given 24 hours, he must likely return tomorrow.

On the other hand, Lilith frowned, still confused, but before she could question Xylen further,

"I have a few requests," he said suddenly.

Catching a glimpse of his serious expression, Lilith nodded immediately, urging him to proceed.

"First," Xylen began, "probably because I've been in a coma for so long, I feel extremely weak right now, barely able to move my finger. Is there anything… like a potion or something that could help rejuvenate me?"

As soon as this question left his mouth, his palms became sweaty and he stared at Lilith, his heart pounding, desperately hoping for an affirmative answer.

Lilith hesitated for a moment before shaking her head. "I have no such potion, my Lord."

'This…'

Xylen's heart nearly stopped.

But before he could react, Lilith quickly added, "However, there's an old potion maker not far from the estate. I can check for you if he has something like that for you."

As soon as Xylen heard this, relief crashed over him like a wave.

"Can you check now?" he asked eagerly.

"Yes, my Lord," Lilith nodded without hesitation. Then, after a brief pause, she looked at Xylen with slight reluctance.

"Something wrong?" Xylen asked, his heart seizing.

Lilith hesitated before nodding her head. "My Lord… you… you said you're going to stay and fight your uncle. Please don't… don't tell me you plan to rely on a rejuvenation potion?"

Xylen blinked, momentarily stunned.

He understood what Lilith was trying to tell him, that no matter how strong the potion he takes is, there is no way he'd be able to defeat even the weakest amongst the uncle's men, but…

'Was I really that ignorant in her eyes?' he mused, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

Eventually, Xylen shook his head. "Of course not."

Lilith instantly let out a sigh of relief. "Then the other requests…" she began, but Xylen waved her off.

"Go get the potion first. I'll tell you the rest of the plan afterward."

Lilith hesitated again but ultimately bowed her head respectfully. "I will be back shortly, my Lord." She said, then not waiting for a response, turned and marched away.

As she walked, Xylen's gaze unconsciously drifted downward

In the following second, he was stunned.

There was a long, fluffy tail covered in thick fur that was elegantly moving behind her—resembling that of a fox.

'So cute,' Xylen thought after a moment, his eyes shining brightly in their sockets.

However, he quickly shook his head, thinking: 'Focus, Xylen.'

Taking a deep breath, he summoned his status window once more and in the following second, the transparent, game-like screen of a moment ago materialized before him again.

This time, he ignored his normal stats and directly focused on his class attributes and skills.

Although this was his second time seeing it and he should have become less fazed, his eyes still widened in disbelief, his breathing catching in his throat.

Earlier, before he saw this section of his stats, he had been deeply disappointed—even for a Level 0 player. But as he examined his abilities further, his shock had grown until he became completely oblivious to his surroundings.

So, this time, seeing that it was still the same, unchanged, Xylen couldn't help but heave a deep breath after a moment.

'How OP can a class be?' He thought, swallowing hard.

Eventually, he returned to his senses and muttered under his breath "This is definitely a hidden class."

But something didn't add up.

According to his past life's memory, all hidden classes were only obtained after every player was transmitted from the Astral Veil into the Fallen Realm. And the only way to acquire one was by completing a hidden quest—an arduous task that could take weeks to months… even sometimes, years of grinding.

One of Xylen's primary goals in this life was to quickly discover and complete one of these hidden quests upon entering the game world—before its rightful owner could claim it. Yet now…

He already had one.

Xylen forced another mouthful of breath and then focused his gaze back on the skills section.

"As for this Lunar Sanctuary and Eclipse Rebirth… they don't seem to be related to my class at all. They appear to be linked to the Moon Goddess. How did I obtain them?"

His confusion deepened.

"Could this be her original reward?"

His brows furrowed tightly.

"But… if this is truly her gift, then what is this sudden mission that I hadn't done anything to trigger?"

Xylen's mind overflowed with questions—about the hidden class, the Moon Goddess's skill, and the mission—all of which soon gave him a dull headache.

This was one of the game's most terrifying aspects—its realism was so intense that pain, pleasure, exhaustion, and everything else felt completely real.

Since he was already aware of this, Xylen wasn't shocked, instead, he shook his head after a moment and exhaled heavily.

'Maybe… both this mission, the overpowered class, and even the two moon-related skills are compensation from Rex Corps for mistakenly assigning me the wrong race,' he concluded.

If the Moon Goddess and Rex Corps higher up could hear his thoughts, they would have definitely appeared to smack him across the head for making such a ridiculous accusation. But since they hadn't…

With his newfound "explanation," Xylen finally felt at ease.

His lips then curled into a confident smirk.

'With a class like this, who needs to waste my time hunting for hidden quests when I already know most of their locations? I don't need to struggle with NPC friendships or even swallow my pride only to be rejected by teams. I can still easily reach the top 10 and become a millionaire.'

Excitement surged through Xylen at this realization and breathing quickened.

If not for the fact that he was still in bed, he might have actually started dancing.

Just then, the door creaked open, startling him back to his senses.

"My Lord," Lilith's voice called out as she stepped inside, bowing respectfully to him.

She held a small vial in her both hands.

"Here is what you requested."

Xylen's heartbeat quickened as he stared at the potion. But just as he was going to accept it, he became nervous.

'I haven't even tested my limbs yet to make sure they work properly in the game like in the past,' he thought to himself, his heart skipping in his chest.

Holding his breath, Xylen, for the first time since entering the game finally lifted his arms carefully.

They moved, and realizing this, relief crashed over him again.

Although he was already used to using his hands in the game, that was in the past. He wasn't completely sure that nothing would have changed this time.

But now that he had confirmed it, Xylen subconsciously wiped the cold sweat that appeared on his forehead.

'One day…' he thought after a moment, staring at his fingers. 'One day, I'll be able to move them in the real world too—not just in a virtual one.'

Shaking his head, he focused back on the present.

He carefully took the potion from Lilith's hands.

The liquid inside was a deep blue.

Without hesitation, he uncapped it and downed the entire content in one gulp.

In the following second; "Pft—!!"

Xylen almost spat it out.

Lilith looked up in alarm. "My Lord, are you alright?"

Xylen grimaced. "It's… it's too bitter."

"This…" Lilith blinked, stunned by Xylen's response. But then she covered her mouth to suppress a laugh. "I… I forgot to warn you about that, my Lord."

"It's… it's fine," Xylen muttered, shaking her off.

Just then, however;

[The player has consumed a Level 0 ordinary Rejuvenation Potion.]

A mechanical voice echoed in his mind.

[Potion effects will begin shortly.]

Before Xylen could react, a warm sensation spread from his stomach, flowing through his veins like liquid fire to the other part of his body.

This sensation lasted less than 5 seconds.

….

'This…'

Xylen's eyes widened in shock, hearing these announcements couldn't, then his eyes brightened.

Although the improvement was small, it was still a success.

Just now, he had only tried testing his luck, and surprisingly, it had worked.

"My Lord?" Lilith's voice abruptly pulled him back. She was staring at him, confused.

Xylen smiled. "Thank you. I can already feel my body recovering."

But, before Lilith could react:

"For my second request… is there any forest nearby with creatures that could be used for training?" He asked suddenly, throwing Lilith off-guard.

"You…" she stared at him in a daze.
