Lyra's heart leapt with hope as she heard the sound of footsteps echoing through the cellar. Arachne's eyes narrowed, and she raised her hand, summoning a dark energy that crackled with malevolent intent.
But before Arachne could unleash the energy, a figure burst into the cellar, sending Arachne flying across the room.
It was Kael.
With a swift motion, Kael dispatched the chains that bound Lyra, freeing her from her prison.
"Come on," Kael said, grabbing Lyra's hand. "We have to get out of here."
Lyra nodded, her heart still racing with excitement. Together, they sprinted through the winding corridors of the cellar, Arachne's angry cries echoing behind them.
As they emerged into the bright sunlight, Lyra felt a sense of relief wash over her. They had escaped.
But Kael's expression was grim. "We're not safe yet," he said. "Arachne will stop at nothing to get what she wants."
Lyra's eyes narrowed. She knew Kael was right.
What does Lyra do next?
