I told my parents about the apocalypse

Rex really helped a lot after that night that I talked to him. The following days was a blur of activities. Rex throws himself into preparing for the apocalypse. His business acumen, usually directed towards financial strategies is now channeled into logistics. As the days went by, Rex and I was so busy that we didn't even have dinner together.

So I invited him one night for dinner and he agreed. That night, we ate dinner and then he held my hands.

"Wendy I want to tell you something. It's about an idea that would be useful for the upcoming apocalypse".

I looked at him and got drawn to his beautiful eyes and I told him to continue which he did.

"I want us to build a fortress around your mansion. It would help us a lot" he said.

I loved the idea but what about the island that I bought. Was it going to be a waste. It was like Rex read my thoughts

"I know you are worried about the island that you bought" he said. "I'm not saying that we would not use the island but we have to have a second choice".

I knew that he was right so I agreed. I decided to tell my mom and dad about the apocalypse. When I got home, I saw my mom sitting in the living room.

"Mom" I said. "Where is dad?". My mom looked at me and told me to sit down.

"Sweetie, don't worry your dad would be back soon. Don't you miss your sweet and cute Mom" she said while posing and pouting her lips. I laughed. My mom is so funny.

My mom and I talked and laughed for a while when we heard the door open. It was my dad. I rushed to him and took his bag from him. My mom greeted him and went to get a glass of water for him. She gave him the water and he drank it all. Seems he was thirsty.

I knew that it was the right time to tell my parents about the apocalypse.

"Mom, Dad..... there is something that.... I need to tell you".

My parents looked at me and I could see the concern in their eyes. I was happy. At least in this life, my parents are with me and I would protect them.

"I don't want you guys to panic" I continued. "Mom..... Dad... Well...um...there will be an apocalypse soon. Like the ..... end of the world".

My parents was shocked. I knew it. Even I would be shocked if someone told me that the end of the world is near. After a while of silence, they told me to continue. I told them everything except from having a system and being reborn. I thought they would doubt me but it seems not.

"So what should we do?" My dad asked me and my mom seemed to also want to ask that question.

"Well, I already bought food and an island. Rex would start building a fortress soon, I think you should just buy a lot of clothing for different seasons and lots of drugs" I said.

My parents agreed and said that they would start the next day. I was happy and relieved. Then I went to bed.
