Zhang Yong and Lilith’s massacre

The battlefield was eerily silent, save for the crackle of flames licking at the remnants of Zhang Yong and Lilith's massacre. The ground, once firm, now resembled a charred wasteland littered with broken bodies and the faint echoes of the Titan's anguished screams.

Zhang Yong glanced at the crimson sky, his golden aura slowly receding as he sheathed his blade. His thoughts churned like a restless sea. The Crimson Titan had been powerful, but the horde that followed had been almost laughably weak. It wasn't a coincidence.

"They were stalling," Zhang Yong muttered, his voice low.

Lilith, leaning casually on her scythe, looked at him with a quizzical expression. "Stalling for what? You think they were buying time for someone—or something—bigger?"

Zhang Yong nodded, his gaze never leaving the horizon. "This wasn't just a random attack. Someone knows what I did, and they're testing me. Whoever it is, they underestimated me."

Before Lilith could reply, the ground beneath them trembled violently, splitting further as a strange, dark mist began to seep from the cracks. The air grew colder, and an unnatural silence fell over the area, as if the world itself were holding its breath.

"Here we go again," Lilith sighed, readying her scythe. "Let's hope this one doesn't talk as much before we rip it apart."

But this time, nothing emerged from the chasm. Instead, the mist began to take shape, swirling and writhing as if alive. Within moments, a humanoid figure materialized from the darkness—a tall, slender figure cloaked in shadows, its face obscured save for two glowing, violet eyes that radiated malice.

The figure's voice was like a chorus of whispers, chilling and unnerving. "Zhang Yong… the last pure human. You've caused quite the stir, haven't you?"

Zhang Yong narrowed his eyes, his body tense but his demeanor calm. "And who are you supposed to be? Another sacrificial lamb sent to die?"

The shadowy figure chuckled, a sound that sent shivers down Lilith's spine. "I am but a messenger, here to deliver a warning. The path you've chosen is one of destruction and chaos, but you are not the only one walking it. Many seek the legacy of Earth, and they will stop at nothing to claim it."

Zhang Yong smirked, his golden aura flaring slightly. "Let them come. I'll send them all to the afterlife, just like I did with the Titan."

The figure's violet eyes gleamed. "Such arrogance… but it is no surprise. The Absolute Krishna Domain has already begun to corrupt you, hasn't it? How long before it consumes you completely?"

Zhang Yong's smile faded, his gaze turning cold. "Leave. Now. Before I decide to make an example out of you."

The figure tilted its head, unfazed by the threat. "Very well. But remember this, Zhang Yong: Every time you use that power, you inch closer to becoming a monster far worse than anything you've fought so far. When the time comes, will you still be able to tell friend from foe?"

With those parting words, the shadowy figure dissolved into the mist, which dissipated as quickly as it had appeared.

Lilith exhaled sharply, her grip on her scythe relaxing. "Well, that was… ominous. What do you think? A bluff to mess with your head?"

Zhang Yong didn't answer immediately. His gaze lingered on the spot where the figure had stood, his mind racing. He could feel the Absolute Krishna Domain pulsating within him, its power tempting and undeniable. But there was something unsettling about the figure's words.

Finally, he turned to Lilith, his expression hard. "It doesn't matter. If they're trying to scare me, they're wasting their time. Let's move."

As they continued their journey, the atmosphere remained tense. The land around them grew more desolate, as if the world itself was dying. The whispers of the abyss lingered in Zhang Yong's mind, but he pushed them aside.
