Wonder Thoughts

POV : Destiny

As we walked side by side on the quiet road, the streetlights casting a warm glow over us, I couldn't help but steal glances at Joseph.

He was lost in thought, his eyes fixed on some point ahead.

I thought about our conversation earlier, about his dreams of creating his own company.

I had told him I would think about helping him, but the truth was, I had already made up my mind.

As we turned a corner, Joseph suddenly looked at me with concern. "Destiny, are you okay? You look a little flushed."

I felt my face grow hot as I realized I had been thinking about him, about the way he made me feel. "Yeah, I'm fine,

I said quickly, trying to brush it off.

Joseph looked at me skeptically, but he didn't push the issue.

Instead, he smiled and nodded. "Okay, if you're sure."

We continued walking in comfortable silence, the only sound the crunch of gravel beneath our feet.

I felt a sense of peace wash over me, a sense of being exactly where I was meant to be.

As we walked, I started thinking about how my mom would react if I brought Joseph home as my boyfriend.

I was sure she would be thrilled to have such a handsome and well-behaved son-in-law.

But as I thought about it, my mind started to wander to more...inappropriate scenarios.

I felt my face grow hot as I imagined Joseph and me together, and I quickly looked away, trying to compose myself.

Joseph noticed my sudden flush and asked, "Destiny, are you sure you're alright? You're flushed again."

I quickly shook my head, trying to clear the embarrassing thoughts from my mind. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little...tired."

Joseph looked at me skeptically, but he didn't push the issue. Instead, he smiled and nodded. "Okay, if you're sure."

We continued walking until we reached my front door. Joseph walked me to the door and paid me a compliment, making me blush again.

We shared a quick hug, and Joseph said goodbye as he walked away. I watched him leave, feeling a little wistful.

As I entered my house, I saw my parents, Rachel and Michael, watching TV in the living room. They smiled at me, and I smiled back.

"Hey, sweetie, how was your day?" my mom asked. My day went well mum,

"I'm going to get my food," I said, heading towards the kitchen.

"Your food is in the dining room," my dad called out.

I walked into the dining room and saw my food waiting for me. I sat down and started eating, feeling grateful for my loving parents.

As I ate, my parents asked me about my day, and I told them it was fine.

They asked me if I had met anyone interesting, and I hesitated, unsure of how to answer.

But for now, I just smiled and said, "No, nothing exciting happened today."
