As we conversed, Lilith suddenly stood up, her expression serious. "Joseph, we need to get you home. Your mom will be worried."
I frowned, confused. "But I thought we were going to discuss how to control my powers?"
Lilith's eyes gleamed with a knowing light. "We've only had a meeting to discuss your past, Joseph. For now, you need to let the energy of the three races mix.
At this point, you're not stable. You need to let the energy in your body come to rest and accept your true self."
She paused, her voice taking on a solemn tone. "You are a demon, a vampire, and a dragon, Joseph. You are a tribrid. And right now, you need to rest.
Once you learn how to control your movements, we'll start your training. For now, we'll protect you from the shadows."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I was still trying to wrap my head around everything, but I knew I needed time to process.
"Thank you, Lilith," I said, standing up.
Lilith smiled, her eyes gleaming with a fierce light. "We'll be watching over you, Joseph. Don't worry."
As Lilith escorted me home, the evening air seemed to grow thick with tension. We walked in silence, the only sound being the soft crunch of gravel beneath our feet.
Suddenly, Lilith's head snapped up, her eyes scanning the surrounding area. I followed her gaze, but saw nothing out of the ordinary.
"What's wrong?" I asked, feeling a shiver run down my spine.
Lilith's voice was low and even. "We're not alone."
I turned to her, but before I could ask another question, two figures emerged from the shadows. They were tall and imposing, their faces, but their was actually Devilish handsome.
Lilith stepped forward, her eyes blazing with a fierce inner light. "Leave now, and I might let you live."
The two figures didn't flinch, their eyes fixed on me with an unnerving intensity. "We're here for the boy," one of them growled.
"And you, Lilith. You've been playing with fire, turning a human into a demon."
Lilith's smile was cold and deadly. "You'll have to go through me first."
One of the figures sneered. "You think you can protect him? Lucian will be pleased to know that you've turned a human into a monster. He'll make sure you pay for your betrayal."
As they spoke, I felt a surge of anger spark the moment I heard Lucian and something else - a memory, long buried, rising to the surface.
Without thinking, I took a step forward, my eyes locked on the two figures. I said kneel and the next thing they know was that they was on their kneel.
I was radiating with an emperor's aura "You'll never take me alive," I snarled, my voice low and menacing.
Lilith's eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly raised her hand and sent a blast of energy that sent the two figures flying across the street.
As they struggled to get back to their feet, Lilith turned to me. "Get behind me, Joseph."
But I was beyond listening. Something had awakened within me, something primal and powerful.
I took another step forward, my eyes blazing with a fierce inner light. "If you ever come back, you'll die a painful death, Go and tell Lucian am coming."
The two figures exchanged a terrified glance before turning and fleeing into the night.
As the tension dissipated, Lilith turned to me, a mixture of surprise and concern etched on her face. "Are you okay, Joseph?"
I nodded, still trying to process what had just happened.
Lilith's eyes narrowed. "We need to get you home."
As we walked the remaining distance to my house, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something had changed within me.
And then, as I reached the front door of my house and about to ring the door bell, it suddenly swung open, and I was face to face with Destiny, the girl who had been plaguing my mind.
"Destiny?" I exclaimed, surprised.
She smiled, her eyes sparkling with recognition. "Joseph. I came to talk to you about your offer."
My mom appeared behind her, a warm smile on her face. "Joseph, dear, I see you've met Destiny.
you have eyes Joseph and she will make quite a good daughter Inlaw She's a lovely girl."
I felt a surge of embarrassment her face hot , even mine was the same but Destiny just laughed. Mrs...?"
mom," I said, trying to play it cool.
As we stood there, awkwardly, I couldn't help but feel that my life was about to change in ways I couldn't even imagine.
