As we stood in the living room, Destiny's eyes sparkled with excitement. "So, Joseph, I've been thinking... I'd love to take you up on your offer."
"Oh, our discussion, right? I'm glad you've thought about it," I replied.
My mom, who had been quietly observing our conversation, suddenly spoke up. "Joseph, dear, what's going on? You're not thinking of quitting your job, are you?"
I took a deep breath, steeling myself for the conversation ahead. "Actually, mom, I have. I've quit my job, and I want to use my life savings to start my own gaming company."
My mom's eyes widened in surprise, but I could see the beginning of understanding there too. She didn't launch into a lecture, and I took that as a good sign.
"Well, you've said it," my mom said with a gentle smile. "I just pray that God helps you on this journey.
I also approve of this decision; it's a good one. You're planning to start something for yourself, and that takes courage."
I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I had been worried about how my mom would react, but it seemed like she was on board with my decision.
"Thanks, mom," I said, feeling a sense of gratitude. "That means a lot to me."
Destiny, who had been watching our conversation with interest, suddenly spoke up. "Joseph, are you okay? You look a bit... pale."
I shook my head, feeling a wave of confusion wash over me. "I... I don't know what's happening to me," I stammered.
"I feel hot. Something within me is itching. My skin feels hot. It's scotching hot. I'm not alright. I'm feeling somehow."
But I thought to myself, "I'm okay, I'm fine." I tried to reassure myself, but my body was telling a different story.I was losing energy, and I could feel myself starting to lose consciousness.
"I'm fine," I said aloud, trying to sound convincing. "I'm okay."
But deep down, I knew I wasn't fine. Something was happening to me, something I couldn't explain.
"Maybe it's the mixture of the race energy I lilth was talking about," I thought to myself, "I don't know, but I'm not feeling good. Ah, I'm seriously not feeling good. What is happening to me?
My vision began to blur, and I felt my legs weakening. Destiny and my mom rushed to my side, trying to hold me up.
"Joseph, what's wrong?" Destiny asked, her voice laced with concern.
"I... I don't know," I stammered, feeling my consciousness slipping away.
My mom tried to call the doctor, but I weakly grabbed her hand, stopping her. "Don't call the doctor... I'm okay... I just need to go to my bedroom."
I tried to walk, but my legs felt like jelly. I stumbled, and everything went black.
The next thing I knew, I was lying on the ground, my dad rushing to my side.
"Joseph! Joseph! Joseph, wake up! Are you okay?" he shouted, his voice panicked.
My mom was crying, her hands shaking as she touched my face. "Joseph, my son... what's happening to you?"
I weakly opened my eyes, trying to reassure them. "It's okay... it's okay... I'm fine. It's just... the energy.
I was spitting out rubbish from my mouth, because the word coming from my mouth doesn't sound correct.
My dad quickly got up and rushed to the kitchen to get water. My mom helped me sit up, cradling my head in her lap.
As I sat there, trying to catch my breath, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was seriously wrong with me.
ah, maybe it definitely is the mixture of the three race energy Lilith was talking about," I thought to myself, trying to make sense of what was happening.
"Or injuries... I thought, 'Maybe it's because my mom was praying to God for me and since I'm part demon...' But no, that's ridiculous. Obviously, it must be the mixture of the three energy that Lilith was talking about."
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. "I got to control myself... oh my God," I thought, feeling a sense of desperation creeping in. What was happening to me? And how could I stop it?
