Advait, with tear-filled eyes, touched the photo and said, "If you hadn't left me, Vani, I wouldn't have to face this day. You know, I'm getting married again today, but this time, the bride isn't you—it's someone else." As he said this, a teardrop fell from his eyes onto the photo.
Just then, Sunanda Ji entered the room and asked, "Beta (Son), are you ready?" Her eyes fell on the wedding photo of Advait and Savani in his hands. Overwhelmed with emotions, she composed herself and gently said, "Advait, if you're ready, let's go."
Advait wiped his tears, put the photo back, glanced at himself in the mirror, and said, "Let's go." He walked out of the room. Sunanda Ji, watching him leave, felt a pang of guilt. Approaching the photo, she said in a trembling voice, "Savani, whatever I'm doing is for Advait's sake. Please don't be upset with me. If I ever hurt you knowingly or unknowingly, forgive me." She looked at the photo one last time before leaving the room.
Meanwhile, Advait reached the hall, where everyone was already gathered. He walked over to Adarsh Ji, who was holding Anvi in his arms.
"Papa, please give Navi to me," Advait requested.
Adarsh Ji looked at Sunanda Ji, who nodded silently in approval. He handed Anvi to Advait.
"Shall we go now? Or we'll be late," said Mahir.
Everyone left the house, with Sunanda Ji locking the main door and giving the keys to Adarsh Ji. They all got into the car and headed to the temple.
At Chauhan House,
Sanskriti was sitting in front of the mirror while Sangeeta Ji did her makeup. After a while, Soumya entered the room and said, "Bua ji, Papa is calling you."
Sangeeta Ji replied, "But her makeup isn't finished yet."
Soumya smiled and said, "It's fine. You go; I'll finish it. Papa probably needs you for something important."
Reluctantly, Sangeeta Ji placed the makeup kit on the table and left. As soon as she left, Soumya closed the door and rushed to Sanskriti. "How are you, chhoti (little one)?" she asked with concern.
Sanskriti looked at her with teary eyes and said, "How can I be fine, Didi? Once again, I'm stepping into a life full of uncertainties. I know Advait Ji isn't like…him (referring to her first husband), but my heart is still afraid to accept any relationship."
Understanding her sister's pain, Soumya held her hands and said, "Don't worry, little one. Let things unfold. Someday, you'll tell me that you've embraced this relationship wholeheartedly. I know it's difficult for you, but at least try—for yourself. Forget about everyone else and think about your happiness. You're going to receive so much love and respect there. Let the past go."
Sanskriti took a deep breath and replied, "Alright, Didi. By the way, where are Atharv and Princey?"
Soumya smiled and said, "They're outside with Dad."
"And Maa?" Sanskriti asked.
"She's busy with some work," Soumya replied. "Now let me finish your makeup, or bua ji won't stop nagging me."
Sanskriti gave a faint smile. Soumya applied a little kohl behind Sanskriti's ear and said, "Keep smiling like this. You look beautiful."
Sanskriti smiled faintly as Soumya resumed her makeup.
A while later, Sudha Ji entered the room and saw the sisters. She admired Sanskriti's look and performed a quick protective ritual before escorting her outside. Everyone got into the car and headed to the temple.
At the Temple
The Rawat family waited at the temple for the Chauhan family's arrival. As soon as the Chauhans arrived, everyone greeted each other. Sanskriti touched the elders' feet for blessings, while Advait did the same for those on her side.
Everyone sat down, and Advait and Sanskriti were seated before the holy fire. The priest began the wedding rituals.
As Advait participated, his mind was flooded with memories of his first wedding with Savani.
---
Advait, sitting beside the sacred fire, couldn't take his eyes off Savani, who shyly lowered hers. When the priest asked them to stand for the vows, Advait helped Savani up and began walking around the fire.
Taking the first vow, Advait said, "I promise to always keep you happy, no matter what. I'll never let tears come to your eyes and will love you endlessly. No one will ever take your place."
Hearing his words, Savani lifted her eyes and smiled at him.
For the second vow, Advait said, "I promise to fulfill all your dreams, wishes, and aspirations. From today, your dreams are mine."
Tears welled up in Savani's eyes, but Advait wiped them away and teased, "Didn't I say I won't let you cry? You're already breaking my promise."
Smiling through her tears, Savani continued walking with him.
---
Sunanda Ji placed a hand on Advait's shoulder, pulling him back to the present. "Beta, the priest is asking for your right hand."
Advait composed himself and extended his hand. The priest continued with the rituals.
Later, during the kanyadaan ritual, Sudha Ji and Suvesh Ji placed Sanskriti's hand in Advait's. Sanskriti, feeling Advait's touch for the first time, briefly glanced at him. His expressionless face made her look down again.
After the kanyadaan, Sudha Ji, overcome with emotions, silently observed Sanskriti. She thought to herself, "Why have you changed so much, Ji? You used to love your children so much. Why did you become so distant after Sangeeta's influence? Even after everything Sanskriti has been through, you show no concern. Why?" Her tears flowed silently, but Sunanda Ji assured her that Sanskriti would be well cared for.
---
During the pheras, Advait silently apologized to Savani, saying, "I'm sorry, Vani. I couldn't keep my promise. Today, I'm giving someone else the position that was yours. But no one will ever take the place you hold in my heart."
Meanwhile, Sanskriti made a promise to herself, "I don't know what this new life will bring, but I vow to give this family and Anvi all my love and respect. I'll make sure Anvi never feels the absence of her mother."
---
After completing the vows, Advait filled Sanskriti's parting with vermillion and tied the mangalsutra around her neck. As he did, Sanskriti looked up at him, momentarily forgetting everything else. The priest declared the marriage complete and asked the couple to seek the elders' blessings.
Advait and Sanskriti bowed before the priest and their elders. When Sanskriti approached Soumya, she bent to touch her feet, but Soumya hugged her instead. Sanskriti broke down, clinging to her sister.
Meanwhile, Advait heard Anvi crying and rushed to her, removing the ceremonial tie that bound him to Sanskriti. As he held Anvi, Sanskriti looked down, her eyes welling up as she stared at the discarded ceremonial tie on the ground.
