"Scarlett, if you're not willing to let me play the lead role, why not find someone with real talent? Choosing someone no one's ever heard of is just laughable."
"Oh, you're going to audition? Well, I don't need to audition. The producer already said the lead role is pretty much mine. Looks like you might be wasting your time."
Scarlett stared at me, seemingly searching for a hint of regret on my face.
But all she found was my utterly indifferent expression.
"I don't mind wasting a trip. Our Melody just wants to work with Director Belmont. If she wants to come, I have to bring her no matter what."
Hearing my intimate reference to Melody, Scarlett's face darkened slightly.
"Scarlett, if you can get the lead role without auditioning, why did Yael come to discuss cooperation with me? Isn't that just toying with me on purpose?"
Scarlett was so angry she couldn't control her expression. She finally left in a huff at Yael's urging.
