Chapter 16: The Honeymoon Surprise

The morning after their wedding, Emma woke up to the warm glow of sunlight streaming through the hotel window. She stretched, smiling as she glanced at Jae, who was still fast asleep beside her, his hair tousled and his face relaxed. It was hard to believe that they were finally married, and that they had the entire world to themselves for their honeymoon.

She softly nudged him, her finger tracing his arm. "Jae, wake up. It's time for our first day as husband and wife!"

Jae groaned, pulling the pillow over his head. "Five more minutes... I'm still recovering from last night's wedding chaos."

Emma couldn't help but laugh. "I thought you were supposed to be the one who didn't get tired."

He peeked out from under the pillow, one eye open. "Only because you keep dragging me into dance battles. I didn't sign up for this level of cardio."

"I'm sorry, but your moves need work. It's for the greater good," Emma teased, rolling her eyes playfully.

Jae chuckled, stretching and finally sitting up. "Alright, alright. Let's go get breakfast. But I'm choosing the pancakes. You've already had your share of fried chicken last night."

"Deal!" Emma grinned, already getting out of bed.

After a quick breakfast, the newlyweds decided to take a stroll through the charming streets of Jeju Island, where they had chosen to spend their honeymoon. The picturesque views and serene atmosphere were a stark contrast to the excitement and whirlwind of their wedding.

Emma took a deep breath, feeling the cool sea breeze against her skin. "This place is beautiful, Jae. I'm so glad we picked it."

Jae smiled at her, his hand slipping into hers. "I wanted to bring you somewhere peaceful. We deserve a break after all the chaos, don't you think?"

"I can't argue with that," Emma said with a soft smile. "Although, I'm kind of surprised that you're not already planning our next adventure. You're always the one with a million ideas."

Jae grinned, his eyes twinkling. "Well, we could try snorkeling or parasailing... Or we could just sit here and eat ice cream all day. I'm flexible."

Emma laughed. "Ice cream it is, then. Let's just enjoy today."

They walked along the beach, stopping to take photos, share stories, and even try a few ridiculous poses for their honeymoon album. At one point, Jae made a dramatic attempt at posing like a model, striking an exaggerated pose and making Emma burst out laughing.

"Is this what you call modeling?" Emma teased, snapping a picture.

Jae smirked. "I'm a natural, obviously. Just wait until we get to the hotel. I'll show you my full repertoire."

Emma shook her head, already imagining the absurdity of it all. "I think I'll pass on that."

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden hue over the island, Emma and Jae found themselves at a beautiful seaside restaurant. The gentle waves crashed against the shore as they sat at a table near the edge, the perfect spot for a romantic dinner.

Jae took Emma's hand across the table. "I still can't believe we're married."

"I know, right?" Emma smiled. "It feels like a dream. Like, any moment now, I'll wake up and you'll still be the idol I stalked online."

Jae laughed. "If you keep talking like that, I'll start thinking you only married me for the fan perks."

"I swear I married you for your cooking skills," Emma replied, grinning mischievously.

Jae raised an eyebrow. "My cooking skills, huh? You've only had my instant ramen so far."

"Exactly. It's the highlight of my culinary experience," she teased, holding back laughter.

They both burst into laughter, the sound of their happiness filling the air.

As the evening continued, the waiter brought them a surprise dessert—a heart-shaped cake with the words "To many more adventures together" written on it. The cake was a symbol of their journey ahead, and as they shared the first bite, Emma couldn't help but feel a wave of emotion.

"Jae," she said, her voice soft, "this has been perfect. I don't think I've ever been this happy."

Jae smiled, his gaze turning tender. "It's only the beginning, Emma. I know it won't always be easy, but I'll be by your side no matter what. We're in this together."

Emma's heart melted at his words. "I feel the same way. I promise to stick with you through everything, even if you drag me into more embarrassing dance battles."

Jae grinned, leaning in to kiss her softly. "Deal."

The evening continued with laughter, deep conversation, and more moments of pure joy. They talked about their dreams, their future, and everything in between. The honeymoon was the beginning of a new chapter for both of them, one full of love, laughter, and countless adventures.

Later that night, they returned to their hotel room, both feeling the effects of the long day. Jae was the first to collapse onto the bed, his exhaustion clear on his face.

"Best honeymoon ever?" he asked, pulling Emma into his arms.

"I think it's too early to make that call," Emma teased. "But it's definitely up there."

Jae chuckled, kissing her forehead. "I'm glad. I want this to be the start of many more adventures with you, Emma. Wherever we go, as long as we're together, it'll be perfect."

Emma smiled, her heart swelling with love. "I can't wait for all the adventures, Jae."

As they drifted off to sleep, wrapped in each other's arms, Emma knew that this was only the beginning of a beautiful life together—a life full of laughter, love, and a whole lot of chaos.
