The location was filled to capacity. The city's most influential people had congregated to observe what was being called the matrimonial event of the century.

In the first row sat Yoder and Bruce's mother, her countenance grave, as though she were attending a burial rather than a celebration. It was common knowledge that she had never approved of Cameron.

I reclined in my seat, a subtle grin on my face, enjoying the mild sunlight as I awaited their impending downfall.

As Cameron approached Yoder with a cheerful expression, an unexpected incident occurred.

The digital display behind them, which was meant to showcase a film documenting the couple's relationship from its inception to their romance, was suddenly replaced by an unsettling audio recording.
