Tiernan was enraged by my words, and in his fury, he shoved me forward.
My head slammed hard against the wall, and suddenly everything went dark.
Amidst the gasps of shock from those around us, I struggled to get up, but the darkness terrified me. I covered my eyes in agony, tears streaming down my face.
"My eyes... Why can't I see?"
Tiernan rushed to my side and helped me up. "What's wrong, Sunny?"
I clung to Tiernan's sleeve like a lifeline.
"My eyes... Tiernan, hospital..."
Just then, the doctor rushed over.
He cradled my head, seemingly examining me, and spoke softly to reassure me: "Don't be afraid, we're going to the hospital right now."
The doctor's words offered some comfort, and I nodded through my tears.
But Tiernan snarled, "This is none of your business! She's my darling!"
"Sunny, what's really going on with your eyes? Are you just putting on an act?"
"Don't think this will make me go soft on you!"
The doctor, unable to stand by any longer, pushed him away.
