An hour after their argument, Adrian came out of the bathroom wearing a white t-shirt and navy blue training pants. He glanced at Indah who was enjoying cereal on the sofa with her legs crossed. The woman seemed unaware of his presence. She laughed out loud casually watching the reality television show. However, there was one thing that caught his attention, namely Indah's clothes had changed into pajamas. The woman was no longer wearing her wedding dress like the last time he saw her.
"Are you done showering?"
Indah's round eyes turned towards him. A small nod responded to Adrian's question, then she refocused her gaze on the LCD screen again.
"Are you done? Come here, let's watch together." She invited while patting the empty side of the sofa beside her. Reluctantly, Adrian chose to sit beside her, but he deliberately separated a visible distance. He didn't want to lose control. After all, he was a man, who definitely wouldn't be able to hold back the turmoil in his body when he was alone with a strange woman in his room.
Not wanting to be lost alone, Adrian finally watched the show. Every now and then he chuckled softly at the silliness of the person in the glass room. He had even forgotten his inappropriate thoughts about his 'new wife'.
After spending two hours, the event was finally over. Several reality show cast members clapped proudly.
"Ah.. It's over.." Indah said. She raised her hands up, stretching her muscles. And that activity did not escape the sharp eyes of Adrian who was sitting beside her. Realizing this, Indah immediately turned to her husband.
"Are you sleepy?"
However, Adrian was silent as he continued to stare at the tiny face in front of him.
Feeling surprised by Adrian's attitude, Indah waved her palm in front of the man's face. "Are you okay?"
As if he had just regained consciousness, Adrian gasped. He immediately got up from the sofa. But after that, he headed towards the bed. He glanced at the mattress. Just imagining himself sleeping in the same bed as the woman made his body shiver. He had to think clearly and maybe he would get rid of his intention to spend the night in this room. As soon as possible Adrian took a pillow and also a blanket that were indeed two available up there.
Seeing the man hugging the pillow and walking towards the door, Indah immediately chased after him.
"Where are you going?" She asked worriedly. Really, she would feel bad for kicking her husband out of his own room.
"I'll sleep in the reading room." Adrian was reluctant to turn his head. He chose to speak while turning his back on the woman.
"You.. Ah.. I'll sleep there." Indah said. She turned around and immediately took a pillow and also a blanket in her hand.
"No way!" Adrian exclaimed loudly.
Indah's hand movements stopped. The woman was silent in place while looking at Adrian who was also looking at her sharply.
"I'm like an irresponsible man who leaves my wife abandoned. It's better if I sleep there. You just sleep peacefully here." Without further ado Adrian immediately went out of the room. His shadow disappeared as soon as the door closed.
Immediately, the pillow in Indah's hand fell to the floor. Her hands suddenly became limp after hearing Adrian's words. Realizing her heart was beating a hundred times faster, the young Mrs. Aditama held her chest. She felt her heartbeat throbbing as if it was going to jump out of her mouth.
For some reason, the words that had just come out of Adrian's lips managed to make her feel a sudden shock. She didn't know what this feeling was but she was sure that the man had managed to amaze her. First, when she was at the altar and second was what he had just said.
**
The clock on the bedside table showed two in the morning. But who would have thought that the two sharp eyes of the youngest Aditama would find it difficult to close even though he had turned off the lights there. His mind had not been calm since he lay down on the long armless sofa in the room that he had converted into a mini library.
With one arm as a pillow, Adrian was still faithfully looking at the sky carved with paintings of fairies above. His two brown irises were gazing at what had happened today. The time bomb seemed about to explode. A tiring day for him. But he did not deny that he felt relieved.
He never thought that his return to Indonesia would not be to attend his older brother's wedding, but to change his status from a free man to a husband to a woman he had never known before. Who knows what he was thinking when he got a text message saying that Rama could not continue his marriage.
CHECK
The sound of the door opening managed to wake Adrian up from the sofa. He saw the silhouette of a woman holding the wall. It seemed that the woman could not see well in the dark
"Adrian .."
Ah! That voice. Adrian's mind had told him to go back to sleep. But for some reason, he was still sitting on the sofa while observing Indah's shadow. The position of the sofa that was being slept on was indeed in the darkest corner of the room, of course, it was an obstacle for the woman to see where she was now.
"Adrian .." She called again. And this time Adrian still didn't answer anything. His lips were silent when he saw the woman getting closer to him.
The moonlight tonight made a little light enter from behind the large window there. His sharp eyes widened so Indah passed through the beam of light.
Beautiful.
That one word managed to escape from his lips when he saw his wife's shadow.
Hearing Adrian's sigh, Indah immediately quickened her steps. However ..
BUGH
The woman's feet stumbled over something. She had closed her eyes as her body floated down. But .. She felt an arm hugging her. Immediately after that Indah opened her eyes and she immediately met those two brown irises. She was on top of the body of the man who was now her husband. Apparently Adrian caught her when she was about to fall to the floor. And now they were silent while continuing to look at each other in silence there. Indah gasped when she saw Adrian's face which she thought was the most handsome moment to look at. A pair of brown irises with curly eyelashes stared at her intensely, his face elongated like a Calvin Klein male model that she often saw in Selly's magazines. Moreover, with the fine hair that was seen growing around the man's jaw, which made him look even more handsome and sexy. Indah dared to bet that there must be many out there who were fighting for his position right now.
Just like Indah's thoughts, Adrian regretted cursing Rama who left his future wife like this. In fact, he was grateful that Indah was a beautiful woman. Never in his life had he seen a woman who was still beautiful even without makeup like Indah. And... her petite body felt right when she hugged his waist like this. In his mind Adrian began to consider what Indah could do with a body that was not even as tall as the curve of her armpit.
Both of them remained silent with Indah on top of them until one day they both felt a soft object pressed against their lips. Who knows who started it, now the two of them were embracing each other. And the longer the kiss, the more demanding it was for each person.
Adrian turned their bodies. He pressed Indah's body in the confinement of his two arms. He gently rubbed her forehead. Occasionally he gave a light kiss there.
"Indah.. You can be mad at me. But right now I really want you." He said it in his hoarse voice.
There was a suppressed passion there and Indah knew it. She felt great passion surrounding the man who had just become her husband a few hours ago. Under normal circumstances, she should have been afraid when she found Adrian about to touch her intimately like this. But her heart said otherwise. She felt so loved just by the look of those brown eyes.
But a sudden urge took over her again. With force, Indah pushed the sturdy body away from her. This time Adrian managed to hold her weight so that she did not fall to the floor. The two of them stared at each other, and this time Indah saw that there was no more passion overflowing in Adrian's brown eyes.
"S-Sorry.. I'm not ready." She said softly.
"You always reject me!" His grumbling was annoyed, he didn't accept it.
Indah was stunned to see Adrian's annoyed face. She felt like a wife who was disobedient to her husband. But this was not what she wanted either. "Understand.."
Adrian combed his fingers through his light brown hair. He groaned in frustration before he finally took a deep breath. "You're right. Go before I change my mind."
As soon as possible Indah ran out of the reading room leaving her husband's frustrated gaze cursing her stupidity.
"Damn!" he cursed.
