Alice the Bold

Day One of school, also known as Monday.

As much as he would not like to admit it, Daniel was quite excited for today. The ladies he had seen over the past two days had been... Diverse.

Since he had an 8 am class, he woke up at 6 am, partly due to his mother's daily morning calls. Even though he lethargically wasted more than thirty minutes, he was still able to get ready before 7:30 am.

After bathing and using his cream, he got to work putting on clothes.

He wore a grey long-sleeved sweater atop a white buttoned shirt, and didn't tuck-in the shirt, allowing its edges to be visible under the sweater.

The black trouser he put on was neatly ironed, its relaxed and slightly baggy design complementing his height.

The fit ended in a pair of polished black shoes, with rounded toes and heavy soles. As he tied their ropes, Daniel stood up.The cross shaped necklace dangled in front of his neck, his silver watch complementing his outfit, along with three rings – One on his left which held the watch and two on his right which held a silver bracelet, all complemented by his silver ringed photochromic glasses.

His hair was already combed, though it remained naturally shaggy, and the balm on his lips made them look supple and just right. He sprayed on some cologne, and then picking up his office bag and a small umbrella, he left the room.

Solomon had was still sleeping, even though they were in the same faculty, as he was in 300 level and his own class was by 10am.

Less than 30 minutes remained until Daniel's class, so he kept his pace brisk. The surrounding scenery was unfamiliar, but luckily, Daniel had a map of the school on his phone, and was able to deduce his lecture hall from the people he saw hurrying past – Likely 100 level students.

He started mentally guessing whether they were freshers or not, even turning it into a sort of game.

At a point, he was a bit lost, so he briefly inquired from a small group of students passing by.

"Excuse me. I would like to know where FBNLT is."

One of them replied in a Yoruba accented voice;

"That's where we're headed, it's just up ahead."

Daniel glanced at the guy's receding hairline and protruding forehead, silently praying for forgiveness.

'He said it himself. I had nothing to do with this! He was just too 'ahead'.

Outwardly however, he showed no signs of him almost bursting into laughter.

"Thanks. I'll just go with you guys."

They continued on their way, but this time, Daniel was one of them. He took fiddled with his phone along the way, using the corner of his eyes to watch his steps.

"Hi."

One of the girls waved at him. He shifted his focus from his phone, glancing at her.

The first thing he saw was her black attachment that reached her lower back, followed by her, cat-like eyes.

Her lips were heart-shaped, which was a bit rare, and she had chocolate colored skin which was clear of acne. She was quite... Endowed, but her shape was almost perfectly symmetrical, and she was a bit shorter than him.

'Hmm, not bad at all. Always had a soft spot for the heavy laden.' The floral patterned dress that she wore brought out her shape even more.

"Hey there." He pocketed his phone, giving her his full attention.

"I like your outfit. I always like when people dress nicely." She said with a slight smile.

"Oh really? I actually prefer casual clothes. But oh well. When you're in Rome, do as the Romans do."

"I'm pretty sure this isn't Rome, and Romans don't dress like this." She pursed her lips.

"Someone's got a sense of humour huh. So fine girl, what's your name?"

"Alice." She answered.

"Alice? The one from wonderland?" Daniel asked with a raised eyebrow, a smirk spreading across his face.
