"Go back to your office and take care of yourself," Tony said firmly.
Sarafina didn't hesitate. Shaken, she turned and left, her heart pounding. If Tony hadn't shown up, Caleb might have actually hurt her. The thought sent a shiver down her spine.
Caleb scoffed, turning to Tony. "You should learn to mind your own business. Stay out of my relationship with Sarafina."
Tony's expression remained unreadable. "Being the boss doesn't mean you can interfere in everything," Caleb continued. "Besides, she's going to be my wife sooner or later."
Tony let out a dry chuckle. "You think so? She might change her mind."
Caleb's jaw tightened, but before he could respond, Tony took a step closer, his voice dropping to a warning tone. "And stop lurking around. I'm the boss—I can do whatever I want. So be mindful, and don't come near her when I'm around."
He paused, then added, "Maybe I should make this clear—I may have feelings for Sarafina. Whether a little or a lot, that's none of your concern. But you'd better be careful around her."
With that, Tony turned and walked away, leaving Caleb fuming in silence.
As Tony walked away, Caleb clenched his fists, his jaw tightening in frustration. His anger burned hotter than ever.
"Stupid boss, acting like he owns everything," he muttered under his breath.
Just then, the sound of heels clicking against the floor made him turn. Solana approached, her eyes gleaming with something he couldn't quite place—opportunity, perhaps.
"Well, that was embarrassing," she sneered, crossing her arms. "Your so called girlfriend doesn't seem so loyal after all."
Caleb's eyes darkened. "Not in the mood, Solana."
But she wasn't backing down. "Oh, but you should be." She took a step closer, lowering her voice. "Tell me, Caleb, how long are you going to keep chasing after a woman who clearly doesn't give you what you want?"
Caleb frowned, his irritation shifting into curiosity. "And what exactly are you getting at?"
Solana smirked, tilting her head. "I can replace her."
Caleb's expression twisted in disbelief. "What?"
"You heard me," Solana pressed on, her voice sultry and confident. "Sarafina isn't the only woman around. She doesn't even give you what you want, does she? Always holding back, always acting like she's too good for you."
Caleb said nothing, his silence fueling Solana's boldness.
She placed a hand on his chest, leaning in slightly. "I, on the other hand, wouldn't hold back. I know how to keep a man happy. I know what you need, Caleb."
Caleb stared at her, his mind whirling. Solana wasn't Sarafina—but maybe that was the point.
She traced a slow circle on his chest with her finger. "Think about it. You don't have to keep begging for Sarafina's attention. You can have me instead."
For the first time since Tony walked away, a smirk curled on Caleb's lips.
"You're bold, Solana," he murmured. "And a little crazy."
Solana's eyes sparkled. "Crazy is exactly what you need right now."
She turned and walked away, leaving Caleb standing there, considering her words.
Maybe replacing Sarafina wasn't such a bad idea after all.
