The forest expanse dissolved and Mikel found himself in a chamber. The air was heavy with incense and magic.
His nose found it hard to adjust buh with time it did. Torches hunged on the wall to lit up buh it was still dim in the chamber.
The walls were adorned with carvings of the ancient things, their cultural practices, the sacrifices and all the things that were involved with the Sword.
The heroes gathered him once again, their shadow reflecting in the dim hallway.
"This is the ECHOES OF CHAMBERS" one of them spoke up his voice echoing. "Here, the Sword would reveal its true self to you."
"It would reveal the mysteries and everything surrounding itself and it's nature, both the good and bad that resides in it."
Mikel understood what it meant. He had already been tested of his strength, his agility, cunnines and survival skills.
This was a different test entirely. It was gonna test his empathy, his understanding and the way he embraces things.
He was asked to come to the center of the chamber so the trial would begin. As soon as he did so, he began to feel a change in the room.
A bright and glowing light emerged in the chamber, the once dim chamber was now ever bright.
The drawings and carvings on the wall came to life as well. They began to move as though they real.
They interacted with one another, moving from place to place going about their activities. Mikel soon found himself immersed in a series of vision.
The next always hit harder than the first. He witnessed the creation of the Sword and how the first weilder used it to fight for the good of Hyrule.
He also witnessed how the Sword was passed on from one weilder to another and saw how they all used it to protect and fight off evil from Hyrule always bringing back peace and sanity to their kingdom.
That was not all he witnessed. He also saw, he also saw the darker side of the Sword when it was given to the wrong weilder.
Those power thirst weilders. How they killed instead of protecting. He saw the wrath it brought upon them when weilded by those who lacked understanding and control of its power.
He saw the countless sacrifices made in it's name, lives lost, family separated, kingdoms shattered because of the misuse of it.
He saw the weight and burden of responsibility that came in wielding such a weapon and the constant threat of corruption.
The vision swirled him, overtaking his senses buh he struggled to remain conscious. He felt the sorrow, suffering and despair of those touched by the swords power.
He felt the and temptation to weild the power for his own good, to impose his own will on other buh then, he felt the hope, courage and selflessness of those who used it for good.
He saw the vision, possibility and good in the power of the Sword. He saw a way he could unite his people and build back their shattered home.
Fight off the evil, restore Hyrule and use its power for good. As the vision faded, Mikel stood still, his heart heavy from what he had just seen.
The sword of arcana had just revealed it's true self to him.
It was not just an ordinary weapon, it was a weapon that could do soo much. It could build and destroy, it had the power to do both good and evil.
One of the spectral heroes approached him saying "you have just witnessed the true nature of the Arcana Sword and the burden of responsibility it carries."
"You have witnessed both the good and evil it holds within it and now you must choose the right path. You will make a decision and choose your path."
He pondered on his words. This was not something that is supposed to be taken lightly. It was not a decision that would be made with the blink of an eye.
Whatever he decided now, would have a great and severe impact on Hyrule. His head was spinning buh he stood his ground.
He thought of what he journeyed here for. The purpose of his journey was to save and redeem Hyrule
He journeyed here for the good of Hyrule. He thought of the sufferings he had just seen, the hope he felt in the heart of people of Hyrule.
He closed his eyes and made his decision whole heartedly.
"I Mikel Jefferson would weild the Sword of Arcana" his voice echoing conviction. "I will not let it's power corrupt me but I will use it to protect the innocent, fight off evil and restore Hyrule to its former glory."
The spectral heroes around him smiled, their smile all with a hint of pride. "it is indeed the right decision you have made."
"You have indeed an understanding that surpass your age therefore you have earned the right to weild the Sword." The silver haired woman said.
As soon as she said it, the Sword floated from where it was and came straight to him. He stretched his hand out to receive it.
When he did, he felt a surge of power, the reality that he was finally in possession of the most powerful sword.
He felt a sense of connection with the Sword. He knew that he was not just holding a weapon buh a legacy, responsibility and promised hope.
He had vowed to himself within that he would use the Sword for the good of his people as he was the choosen leader.
With the Sword in his hands, he felt a wave of responsibility, determination and confidence.
He was ready to face the challenges that lay ahead of him no matter how challenging it may look
He was ready to fight off the evil hovering over and threaten to consume Hyrule.
He was determined never to rest till he restored peace back to his kingdom.
