Philip and Grace's mom was outside the labor room waiting, the more Philip heard Grace scream, the more he panicked.

"Just be praying that nothing happens to my daughter," Grace's mom said sternly at Philip, also panicking.

Philip stood still and gave her a very stern look, she also returned it, "Omo Igbo, bad manners!" she hissed and kept pacing around.

Philip scoffed and was about to leave the waiting passage when the door suddenly opened, the nurse came out.

"She is reluctant to push, she says she wants you in," She said to Philip. Philip immediately rushed in and on seeing Grace's state, his heart sank. He went closer to her and held her hands, she was crying

"I am trying, I am trying to push but this baby isn't coming out." She laments.

Philip swallowed as he tried to catch his breath, he didn't want to be found panicking in front of Grace. He touched her stomach.

"Hey," he forced a smile. He tries to avoid the look on the nurses' faces. "Daddy's here and I need you to come out. Okay?"

Grace let out a loud cry and pushed.

The nurses were in awe. "The baby is coming!"

Their screams evaporate into thin air as the wails of the baby take charge. Philp's face lit. he was obviously not sure if he should jump or scream at the sight of his crying baby, his countenance dropped as soon as he saw the gender of the child. Then, his face lit up again. He took the baby from the nurse and kissed it.
