Chapter 8

I looked at him mockingly, and Zoran seemed to realize something, still hesitating: "No, it's not possible."

I had kindly reminded him about Serenity's identity earlier, but he didn't believe me at all.

"Whether you believe it or not, why don't you go check for yourself instead of arguing with me here?"

Zoran slammed the table, his emotions running high. He coughed several times in succession, covering his mouth. When he removed his hand, there was a pool of blood in his palm. His pupils constricted as he realized this was no ordinary cold.

"I need to go to the hospital real quick."

He carelessly grabbed a few tissues to wipe his hand, then grabbed his coat and rushed out.

But what he didn't know was that the hospital wouldn't find anything wrong. The existence of the venomous worms couldn't be detected by conventional medical methods.
