Chapter 6

"Melody, I didn't mean to. I didn't know taking the vital blood would kill the baby. If I had known, I definitely would have found another way."

I looked at him and Serenity, my crimson eyes filled with hatred.

"Zoran, her expression is scaring me."

Serenity shrank behind Zoran's back, not forgetting to act coy.

Surprisingly, this time Zoran not only didn't comfort her as usual but pushed her away and scolded her loudly. She looked indignant but didn't dare say anything more.

I suddenly stood up, smiling under Zoran's remorseful gaze: "Let's go home, Zoran."

He hurriedly called for the driver to bring the car over and escorted me into it. Behind us, Serenity's face was contorted with rage, nearly grinding her pearly whites to dust.

In the midst of the commotion, Zoran's nose started bleeding uncontrollably again, his complexion visibly paling.

I coldly handed him a few tissues, gesturing for him to wipe it off lest it drip onto me.
