Chapter 12

Whips, thorns, handcuffs, chains - this room had it all.

Lanaya must have been living under such torment for a long time.

The soft-hearted had already closed their eyes and started sighing.

But I knew all of this was her own doing.

I had once held her in the palm of my hand, but she wasn't content and chose the hardest path.

After lowering my head and exiting the room, today's task was over.

I got a brief chance to rest.

But the police called me, saying Lanaya refused to cooperate at the hospital and would only talk to me.

I frowned and agreed.

After saying goodbye to Serenity, I went to the hospital.

When I arrived, the police told me Owen was dead.

After Owen's death, Lanaya's state became even more deranged.

She hit anyone she saw, only shouting the name "Donavan."

I was sent to Lanaya's temporary hospital room, followed by two police officers.

When Lanaya saw me, she struggled wildly on the bed.

"Donavan, Donavan, Owen is dead."
