Chapter 10 A tough one

Aiden's legs coiled then unleashed in an explosive burst catapulting him into the air with jaw dropping, devastating speed, instantaneously Landon's right wing shot up, forming a shield, Aiden's right fist jambed fiercely against his wing, Landon's feet slid backwards as he struggled to hold his ground, immediately the braces on his arm jolted into motion with a metallic clang automatically triggering a second impact.

The force of the second impact pushed Landon's wing away leaving him completely open, Aiden went for another hit but Landon was faster in swinging his blade, instinctively Aiden used his arm to block, the force of the blade was stronger than before, Aiden felt a sharp pain in his forearm which he used to block the attack.

With a swift burst of Landon launched himself upwards, his wings snapping back with incredible force as he brought his blade crashing down on Aiden, Aiden's eyes widened alarmingly, he elevated both hands on top of his head firmly holding them in an X form.

The blade crashed fiercely on Aiden's arms his knees bent outward as he tried to hold his ground, Landon's leg fiercely struck Aiden's gut, Aiden saw it coming but he couldn't do much as his hands were holding Landon's blade. Using both his feet and one of his hands he was able to bring himself to a stop.

Simultaneously Aiden and Landon shot themselves into a motion unleashing a devastating shockwave Aiden readied his fist for a punch while Landon clutched onto his blade tightly with both hands, both fighters readied their attacks it was only a matter of who would strike first, and obviously Landon was faster.

Aiden slammed both legs downward, abruptly halting his momentum in a daring, last-ditch maneuver. Landon's eyes narrowed, confusion etched on his face, yet his precision and focus remained razor-sharp, poised to counter Aiden's next move.

Aiden's fist hurtled through the air, though he was still out of punching range. Landon's gaze followed the fist, his focus beginning to waver as confusion deepened.

Before Aiden's arm could fully extend, he brutally arrested its motion with his other arm, freezing his attack in mid-air which automatically activated the braces along his arm automatically snapped into action with sharp metallic clang the braces slammed together his arm snapping back with incredible force like a cannon and with that a concentrated ball of air exploded out from his fist, the sheer force of the blast pushed Aiden down to the floor.

It moved at a devastating speed creating a straight pathway on moving forward, Landon slammed both legs forward and flapped both his wings forward, and swung his blade from the left everything happening simultaneously and swiftly, his blades moved, his blade clashed against the mighty air force.

But the speed and momentum remained unaffected, the blade flew away and the air force slammed into Landon the impact was sent him flying at incredible speed, his body about 10 meters above ground level until his body slammed against the wall surrounding the arena sitting position, the impact sent cracks spidering around the wall his body bounced off the wall and he fell to the ground.

The braces on Aiden's hand split apart releasing a huge burst of steam that puffed through the air, Aiden was completely silent, he knew his attack was powerful but he wasn't sure if it was enough to take his opponent out.

Immediately Landon's wings exploded outward with a sharp whoosh, with that Aiden's doubt had completely cleared, Landon stretched his arm forward with that his black blade flew straight into his hands holding it from the hilt.

Landon's wings extended backwards slowly they moved so close about to touch each other, he held the position for a few seconds while his eyes locked with Aiden's, immediately he slammed his wings shut unleashing a thunderclap of air that shook his surroundings, the attack was similar to Aiden's but that of Landon wasn't anything like a ball Aiden barely kept his feet on ground and he used both arms to cover his face.

Landon's wings snapped backwards with incredible force, with that he exploded into motion the force of wind that distorted Aiden's vision had no effect on him, in a split second he was in front of Aiden he swung his balde abruptly with all his might, he got a perfect hit on Aiden's gut, Aiden flew backwards but Landon held onto his feet hurling his lifeless body high above his head and slamming his back against the hard concrete, his body bounced upwards on impact and before it landed.

Landon lifted Aiden above the ground from his neck and clapped both wings together, the wind had enough weight to hang Aiden in the air for about three seconds, Landon used that opportunity to ready his blade he watches as Aiden's body came downward, immediately he knew the timing was right his wings snapped backwards with brute force he covered the distance between the both of them in less than a second his blade sliced through the wind as it headed for his gut, one final blow to crown him the winner of the match.

Immediately Aiden's leg shot forward with precision the metal braces on his leg clashing against Landon's blade, in a flash Aiden's leg produced a second impact strong enough to push Landon backwards.

Landon's face etched with confusion his right eye twitching as he stared at Aiden who struggled to catch his breath, "Shit, that was too close, if my timing was off" Aiden panicked as he thought inwardly to

 himself.

"His reaction time was incredible, how is he moving that fast I, a single second is more than enough to change the outcome of this match is this the power of being a Level 7, by this time in any other match you should be able to determine who has more chance of winning but this, this is anyone's game no one is at an advantage and also no one's at a disadvantage this is insane I knew they were both strong but this I've seriously gotta catch up with this guys" Ryder thought inwardly to himself.

Landon blasted himself to the other side of the arena making use of wings to move, immediately Aiden turned around "He's even faster than before" Landon did it again and again he moved around the four corners of the battle arena making sure he zooms directly passed Aiden, Aiden couldn't keep up with Landon's movement, his eyeballs shifted left to right and right to left but he still couldn't keep up.

"I made a promise to you Aiden Valor it doesn't matter how much you persist you're just delaying the inevitable I will beat you, not for any other reason than me being the stronger opponent in this match" Landon's voice has lost it composure, he yelled at the top of his voice, which reverberated from every angle of the arena.
