Kaido stood there, a little embarrassed as he realized he couldn't even break his own skin with his bite. Damn, my skin is this tough? He thought, feeling awkward. How was he supposed to use summoning techniques now?
Not one to give up easily, Kaido opened his mouth wide and bit down harder on his arm. This time, his skin didn't give way, but instead, a layer of purple armor-like haki began to form around his arm, covering it in a dense, metallic sheen.
"Armament Haki…" Kaido muttered, both impressed and frustrated. His haki had activated instinctively, without him meaning to. It seemed like his body's muscle memory was still intact. Despite the lack of Kaido's previous memories, his muscles still retained the knowledge of how to use haki.
"Well, this is good," Kaido smirked. "Now I've got all three haki types. Let's test this out..."
He focused intently on his arm, determined to activate the Armament Haki consciously. When nothing happened, his patience wore thin. With a swift motion, Kaido clenched his fist and slammed it down into the ground.
Boom boom boom!
The ground cracked open, and a crater nearly ten meters wide formed where his fist had struck. As expected, his arm had become enveloped in purple, armor-like haki.
"Finally!" Kaido grinned. "It worked!"
He realized that, since his body had a deep, instinctive memory of using haki, it only activated when he was attacking or under attack. The moment his body felt that familiar need to strike, the haki would automatically manifest.
Kaido took a deep breath, focusing on the sensation of haki flowing through his body. Now that he had the feel for it, he could summon it at will. His fists tightened, and within moments, purple haki began to cover his entire body, encasing him in a protective and powerful armor.
"Looks pretty easy, doesn't it?" Kaido smiled, impressed with his own progress. Haki was a power he was already familiar with, and after just a bit of practice, it felt second nature.
"Now, all that's left is to coat my teeth with haki," he muttered.
The purple haki on his arm slowly faded, and Kaido focused on his teeth. He bit down again, this time drawing blood from his arm. A small, painful bite mark formed, but Kaido didn't mind. He was focused on his goal.
He then smeared the blood onto his palm, trying to recall the hand signs from the Naruto series. Although he wasn't entirely sure of the exact hand seals for summoning, he gave it his best shot.
With a dramatic flair, he slammed his palm into the ground, calling out, "Summoning Jutsu—Summon the Nine-Tails!"
Boom!
A massive cloud of smoke engulfed Kaido, the air thick with anticipation.
Moments later, a giant nine-tailed fox appeared, its massive form towering over the landscape. The moment it manifested, an overwhelming wave of malevolent chakra flooded the air, filling the atmosphere with a suffocating pressure. The fox's eerie, high-pitched screech echoed, sending violent ripples through the air.
The wind generated by the fox's appearance blasted outward, creating a shockwave that sent dust and debris flying. Kaido flinched, his eardrums ringing from the sheer intensity of the sound.
"Holy shit! I actually did it!?" Kaido gasped, his voice filled with surprise and disbelief. He stared at the giant fox, his excitement barely contained.
…
Meanwhile, back on the ship, King and Doflamingo suddenly heard a deafening, primal roar. A surge of oppressive energy swept through the air, slamming into the ship and pushing it back. The force was so strong that the vessel began to rock violently.
Even though they were still some distance away, the haunting howl of the fox filled the air, sending chills down their spines. The sheer magnitude of the roar, mixed with the overwhelming chakra pressure, was enough to instill a deep sense of fear.
King and Doflamingo exchanged uneasy glances, both knowing something powerful had just been summoned—but neither of them could have predicted the sheer scale of Kaido's success.
"Just what is that?" King asked, his forehead slick with cold sweat as he stared at the towering fox in the distance. The sheer size of it was staggering, and the number of tails it had only added to the foreboding atmosphere. His Observation Haki allowed him to clearly sense the immense power radiating from the creature.
Doflamingo, equally unnerved by the loud howl, was filled with a mix of fear and madness. His eyes locked onto the distant nine-tailed fox, and he could hardly contain his excitement, "Wait a minute! What kind of monster is that? It just appeared out of nowhere! What's going on?!"
King activated his Devil Fruit ability, transforming into a toothless winged dragon, and soared towards the nine-tailed fox.
Doflamingo, equally intrigued, used his Ito Ito no Mi powers to fly after King, eager to understand what was happening.
On Kaido's side, he stood confidently on the back of the giant nine-tailed fox. Though Kaido was over eight meters tall, he was still much smaller compared to the fox. Unlike the ninjas from Naruto, who could stand atop their summoned beasts, Kaido couldn't do the same. He had no choice but to ride on its back.
The nine-tailed fox turned its head, its beastly eyes locking onto Kaido. A murderous and dark aura seeped from it as it snarled, "So, it's you... the human who formed a contract with me."
Contract? Kaido thought, his mind racing. At that moment, King and Doflamingo arrived and heard the fox's booming voice from a distance.
"Yeah, that's me," Kaido said, a bit uncertain but nodding to confirm it.
The fox grinned darkly, showing its sharp fangs. "I can sense it. You're no ordinary human. You have immense power, no doubt about it. I can tell you've earned the approval of the Sage of Six Paths."
"The Sage of Six Paths?" Kaido was taken aback. Could this strange new power he had acquired somehow be connected to the legendary figure?
"Yeah, that's what you humans call him, right?" the fox said indifferently. It then scanned the area and scoffed, "But this world is different from mine. I've never seen humans like you before—your bodies can grow this large? Fascinating."
The nine-tailed fox's eyes locked onto King and Doflamingo in the sky, and its killing intent only intensified. A wave of fear flooded King and Doflamingo's hearts, as the sheer pressure emanating from the fox made them instinctively feel the danger. The fox then spoke again, its voice filled with malice, "So, what's your plan? You didn't summon me just for nothing, right? Are you asking me to deal with these two pests?"
Kaido looked at the fox and realized it wasn't as hard to deal with as he had initially thought. Perhaps it was the contract, or maybe something else, but the two seemed to share some kind of understanding. Kaido waved a hand dismissively. "No, they're my subordinates. I just wanted to see if I could summon you. That's all."
"I see," the fox responded, its beastly eyes narrowing slightly as it gave Kaido a sharp look. "Your recovery speed is truly remarkable. It rivals even us Tailed Beasts."
Kaido glanced down at the bite mark on his arm, which had been bleeding earlier but now was already scabbing over. In no time, the wound would be completely healed. "This is pretty impressive," Kaido muttered, a grin slowly spreading across his face. He had only just begun to explore this power, and it was already proving to be more than he had ever imagined.
