The lottery results are out.
But Vienna didn't come rushing to me for money like she did in my past life.
I tried to probe a bit, only to discover that she had no idea the lottery results had been announced.
"Rosalie, I just bought it on a whim. I never really thought it would win. Besides, if it actually won, wouldn't that mess up my financial luck?"
"But..." I furrowed my brow, looking at her with eyes full of concern, "The results are out, Vienna. That ticket won three million dollars."
"What?!" she shouted, "Rosalie, are you serious?"
But after the initial excitement came anger. The fury over her ruined financial luck made her even abandon the idea of trying to please me.
"Rosalie, doesn't that mean you've wrecked my financial fortune?"
I quickly denied it, "No, Vienna, I gave that lottery ticket to Mason."
"Really? Then why didn't Mason... Why didn't he tell me?"
I shook my head, "I don't know."
After some thought, she decided to take her leave.
