After leaving the hospital, I booked a suite at the city's best five-star hotel to recover from my miscarriage in peace.

Originally, considering the responsibilities of managing a household and raising children after marriage, I had been frugal despite my substantial income. But now, with only myself to spend on, I had no reason to deprive myself any longer.

At the same time, I made a decision - to leave this city.

A well-known large fitness center in the state capital had previously invited me to join them. Although it could have taken my career to new heights, I had politely declined because Fintan's work was here, and I didn't want us to be in a long-distance marriage.

I called this fitness center and asked if their offer was still open. They expressed a warm welcome.

I quickly resigned from my job and bought a plane ticket to the state capital for next week.
