CHAPTER 4

I woke up in the morning when some people came, it was the first time I saw them. In a dark, they walked into the room. I screamed, my body shook with fear when they approached me.

Shit! That man is the same, he brought me here to make me a bait. Because of dad, that man sold me to other people. Like the Madam, He also….

"AGGH! ARGGGH!" I screamed, my throat hurt more and more.

The four people held my body firmly, I couldn't hear anything but my own voice. I'm trying to let go of myself, I want to get out of here, I don't want to be a slave by these disgusting people anymore. I should escape.

"Shiloh!" That deep voice crept into my ears.

Tangerines. It's smell like a Tangerines.

I opened my eyes, interrupted by tears that fell and welled I could see the man running to come to me. The smell of his pheromones made me stop screaming, I spread my arms when he came and hugged me tightly.

"Shiloh, calm down.. Calm down.." His voice echoed in my head.

I gripped his arm tightly, I could feel his skin under my fingernails. I groaned, my body that had been shaking slowly stopped as I felt the whole room filled with the scent of his pheromones.

"Please come out everyone, let him calm down first." The man said in a voice that sounded calm and a little bit cold.

I was still holding him tightly, my chest was beating hard and I could feel my sweat going down. I was still scared even though my body was no longer shaking.

I know he sold me to those people, I'm sure, but why would I ask him for help?

"Shiloh… Hei, have you calmed down?"

"D...Don't sell me..." I tried to speak to him, pleading with my voice stuck in my throat.

"What?"

"D..Don't sell me...Please...Please...Don't make me....a hooker again.." I raised my head, looking into his eyes that are now looking at me with a fear. I could see him biting his lower lip and hugging me, gently stroking my back as I cried in his arms.

I don't know what happened.

The man gave me a glass of water after I cried, which passed almost an hour, I was already much calmer, my tears were no longer flowing. I took a slow sip of water and he sat down beside me.

"Is it much better?" He asked softly.

I handed him a glass, he took it and put it on the nightstand. I nodded slowly to answer his question just now. He smiled, I didn't understand the meaning of his gaze on me. He's such a mistery.

"Please don't sell me.." I said again, trying to beg him not to do that to me. "I can do a housework.. I..I can do anything but please, don't sell me.." I begged desperately, even though I had never done it all before.

He looked at me.

"I, will not sell you...Shiloh..."

I was still silent, not understanding his words.

"They are the nurses from the hospital. While you on your deep sleep because of the drugs, they take care of you. Change your clothes and keep your body temperature up." He explained slowly.

I'm puzzled for a second, " Why?" I asked in confusion.

"Since you need intensive care, your body is really..." He stopped in mid-sentence. "Really need help." He sighed, pressing his forehead. I can smell his pheromones, the different one from the Sweet Tangerines. It's feel like he's a little bit frustated now.

"You get Hanahaki Disease, right?"

The question surprised me, and I slowly nodded.

"Since when?"

I don't want to answer it, this disease brings the worst memories of my life. I don't want to remember anymore. I even want to forget it.

"Okay. You don't want to answer it, do you know why you have this disease?"

I Know.

I know exactly why I have this disease.

People say, this disease is just a myth. It's a beautiful disease, but it's also deadly. The first time I spit out those bright red petals, I thought I was hallucinating. I thought I was under the drugs my father always gave me and forced me to take.

However, when dad took me by force to the hospital and they did an examination. I did get the disease. Hanahaki Disease.

"Shiloh.." He called my name, brought me back to reality.

"I know.." My answer is short, I bring my head down.

I don't want to see his face.

"In that case, I hope you won't go to extreme when the nurses come in..."

I turned my head, our eyes met. I thought he would ask and force me to tell him why and who had given me this disease. No. He didn't ask anything.

"They just want to help you, recover quickly and you can ask me everything you want to know." He said.

He got up from his seat and left me alone. Then, the people who had frightened me came and greeted me, and they apologized for surprising me.

I awkwardly shook my head slowly and apologized to them.

I don't know why I'm here, nor do I know why the man helped me and tried to help me recover. He mentioned my father's name but he had no intention of selling me. I want to know, but like what he said, I have to recover first.
