Time was running so fast when I was in this place, morning and night just flew by. My daily activities were just getting up in the morning, cleaning myself helped by the nurses, having breakfast, then preparing for therapy because it turned out that my legs were not able to support my body.
The nurse said it was one of the side effects of the over-dosed drugs. After that, I just sat on a wheelchair, zoning out at the expanse of bluish-white sky in the room. When evening came, that man took me around the park in a wheelchair.
I don't have any thought here.
A week ago was the first time I out of this room.
I was surprised because it was such a big house. My bedroom is on the third floor. My old house was also big, but this house is much bigger. I only see the maids.
Seems like he just living alone.
In the corner of the room there is an elevator to the lower floor, I use the elevator because I have to use a wheelchair.
This house was on top of the mountains, that's why from my balcony, I could only see the expanse of sky without any more buildings in the way. The house has a front yard as well as a large back yard, when I go outside of the house the first time I was so amazed by the view.
A large shady tree, cool air, a cool breeze, a well-groomed expanse of green grass greeted me from the outside. This house is surrounded by trees. To the west of this house there is a garden filled with beautiful flowers. The flowers are neatly arranged colorful.
When I accidentally coughed and a petal came out of my mouth, the man chuckled and said, "If you sit between those flowers, I can't seem to find you."
I just looked at him when he said something like that while laughing.
Did he aware that his humor was so bad?
The man will leave in the morning and back in the afternoon. When he was just back from outside, I could smell cigarette mixed with the sweet pheromones. But when he was at home all day, I never smelled the cigarette from his body.
Sometimes he would eat with me in my room. But sometimes he also eats alone in the dining room.
The maids often talked to him, they called him "Mr. Gruvv."
"He will recover very soon, all the bruises have disappeared and his condition is better. He also has gained weight, it'll be his normal weight later." The doctor said after examining me, he had a wide smile between his beard and his long mustache. His face was so old yet I didn't feel any pheromones.
I can assure the doctor is a Beta.
"What about the other injuries part?" The man asked again, he was standing next to the doctor with a serious face.
The other part?
"His whole body will recover in a week." The doctor replied cheerfully, he touched my hand gently. "Good job, Shiloh." He said.
I shrugged, not understanding why the doctor had told me that.
"What about the Hanahaki?"
The doctor did not immediately answer, he was silent for a while before finally taking the man away from the room. I know, there must be something they're hiding. And, I think it's time I started asking that man a lot of questions.
Not long after, the man returned. I was sitting in bed, reading a book he bought me a few days ago.
"You will recover soon." He said, starting the conversation, sitting in a chair next to the bed.
"How long has it been since I've been here?" I closed the book, turned my eyes to him.
"Two months."
I blinked. Time goes really fast.
He looked down, playing with his fingers. I know he's waiting.
"Your name?" I asked then, trying to change the atmosphere that suddenly became so tense.
"Gruvv." He replied calmly, he was still reluctant to raise his face to look at me. His huge body with muscles looks so small simultaneously. Weird.
"Mr. Gruvv, do you know my father?"
Gruvv then raised his face, I could see the discomfort look on his face. I don't understand, why did he put on such an expression?
"Your father, has a debt to my family. You know about his company bankruptcy?"
I nodded, "Yeah. That's why…" I stopped my sentence for a moment because of the pain in my chest when the bad memory couldn't help but come back, "That's why he sold his only Dominant Omega son. For money."
Gruvv nodded slowly.
"Are you going to sell me too?"
I could see his face stiffen, he shakes his head slowly. "No, I will not do that. I brought you because I wanted to know where your father was."
I was silent for a moment, the pain in my throat back again. The tightness in my chest that is so familiar every time the memory of my father comes and everything he did to me for money.
"Unfortunately, I can't help you. I don't know where my father is."
Gruvv looked not so surprised, he ruffled his hair and again, lowered his head so that I could see the top of his head freely.
"Do you want to make me as a hostage? A decoy?"
"What?"
"I can't tell you where my father is, because I don't know where he is. But, you can use me as a decoy to make him out from his hiding." I said.
I looked into Gruvv's two eyes intensely, I wanted to apologize to him because I was useless. "You've been trying to get me back alive and well, I don't have anything else I can give you to thank you for."
I shuddered to hear my own voice, I sound so desperate. I don't even know if I want to keep living. If dad is found later, will this man throw me away? Will he send me to jail along with dad?
I don't know.
I don't want to hear the answer. I just wanted to help him. The feeling was so strong and also, the scent of this man's pheromones. I want to breathe in more.
