The wedding was simple and quick, the vows were exchanged and their rings were worn. The newlyweds barely looked at each other through it all and were glad when all they had to do next was leave the courthouse. The media was outside waiting for them and started flashing the bright lights of their cameras at Trinity and Daniel once they caught sight of them. Daniel wore shades that concealed the obvious annoyance written all over his face, and as the paparazzi tried to bombard them with questions, Ron helped clear the way to the car safely.
Their parents had agreed that they would be living together for a period, until the media cooled off and they couldn't stand the sight of each other anymore. Daniel had long booked a flight back to Seattle and it was decided against his wish that Trinity would be going with him.
She looked at him as the chauffeur drove them to the airport in silence. He was broody, his countenance a mixture of irritation and boredom, with eyes fixed outside the window. The sunlight revealed his facial features in detail, his eyes were a glint of golden brown and auburn. His thick dark hair curled down his shoulders slightly, and his jawline was the perfect shape of a carved masterpiece. His nose was long and pretty, his lips….
"Can't get enough of all of this huh?" Daniel asked, taunting her.
She simply rolled her eyes and faced her side of the window.

"Mi casa, su casa." Daniel said in a dull sarcastic tone as they entered into his luxury penthouse. "For now anyway." He added.
Trinity walked into an ambience of elegant taste. There was a massive grand piano at the center of the living room which made her wonder if the man in front of her had any musical skills. There was a large spiral stairwell with glossy chandeliers dripping from the high ceiling. The top-to-bottom windows revealed the bustling city of Seattle down below. Trinity wondered how beautiful it would be to stand there looking at the city lights at night. She had seen wealth, because she herself was wealth but she was rather impressed by Daniel so far. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad living with him after all.
"You have a beautiful house." She complimented. "Hopefully it's not as boring as you are."
He didn't reply, only went up the stairs while removing the gold links from his shirt cuffs. The driver had helped her with her luggages into a room she prayed was separate from his. She assumed a maid or someone else would show her the way around the big house although there was no sign of any other person there. She waited patiently, cluelessly, as she strolled around the house. There was a picture of a woman on one of the picture ledges, she had beautiful red hair and rosy coloured cheeks with a smile that looked as if it could cure all sadness. Trinity knew Daniel was a bachelor, everyone who had heard of him knew it, but she couldn't help but think of what his past relationships had been like. Was he the type to get hurt, or was he the kind of guy who played with girls' feelings?
Trinity thought of her own boyfriend- now ex-boyfriend. She had long ghosted him since the paperworks were finalized and he hadn't even cared enough to reach out. She admitted that what she had with him was only just a fling, and she had more fun partying and drinking than she actually had with him. It hurt still.
"Um, Trinity?" She heard Daniel call out and turned to find him coming downstairs and heading to the kitchen. "Try not to feel too free to touch anything." He said coldly.
Trinity didn't really pay attention to the tone and manners with which he spoke, all she could do in that moment was stare at his shirtless toned body. Greek god would be an understatement, this man was sculpted by the angels themselves. She couldn't stop staring at the perfect body of Daniel D'alore. He pulled out a drink from one of the kitchen cabinets and poured some for himself in a cup. Trinity watched him drink as she stood in the corner.
"You want a drink? Come on, help yourself." He said.
"I'm more concerned about my bedroom."
"Oh, you'd just love to have one night with me, wouldn't you? I don't blame you, I am good looking." He smirked cheekily.
"You must think you're very humorous." Trinity said with an obvious hint of sarcasm.
"I am humorous. A very funny guy, you should get to know me more."
"I know you. You're obnoxious, arrogant, cocky, self centered… what haven't I mentioned?" Trinity said rhetorically with a finger on her chin
"Good-looking, charming, a lovely husband." He completed
"I'd rather gouge my eyes out than have to spend another minute with you, but before then, I think I might have a drink myself." She walked over to where he was standing until he was just a few inches away from her. He towered over her as he looked down at her with a taunting look. His bare torso was threatening to pull her into an embrace and the thought of her faking a fall so that he would catch her crossed her mind. She blinked the thought away, she wasn't that desperate. Snatching the bottle of whiskey from him, she found herself another glassed cup and poured the drink into it. She could feel his stare slowly undressing her.
"You should show your new bride to her room." She said as she took the last sip of her drink.
Daniel brushed the hair out of his face and breathed loudly. "Right this way, my queen." He led her upstairs and showed her to a room that thankfully was not his. That was where the chauffeur had unloaded her things to. It was a nice, plain room, nothing to indicate that a woman had or was going to be present. He stood by the door, watching her look around. She wanted to ask him so badly about his previous relationships but didn't have enough courage to pry.
"Well, breakfast will be by seven tomorrow. If you need anything…." He paused. "..don't call me." He said decidedly and closed the door.
Trinity knew staying with this new stranger would take some getting used to. For as long as she could, she would bare it until she had enough autonomy to move out and live her own life. She took a quick shower and threw herself on the soft white duvet of the bed when she was dry enough. The sleep wouldn't come easy for her tonight but as long as it came, that would be okay.
