Dance

"Sure.. What the hell!", she took his hand but slipped a little while getting up because of the head rush.

He immediately held a hand over her waist to steady her a little. Ana's heart beat was loud for a second and she must've imagined it but she definitely saw the pendant glow a little. She shrugged off the thought chiding herself that she'd not think about the pendant or any other weird stuff today and focussed on the stranger who was still holding her in his arms.

She steadied herself and stood straight glancing back at Kathy noticing that Kathy was also holding some guy's hand ready to follow Ana to the dance floor. After feeling reassured that her friend was there too, Ana took a look at the stranger, "What's your name?", she tiptoed to reach his height and whispered to him.

"I'm Edward… And you?", he asked.

"Ana…", she gave her head for a handshake and he pulled her hand close to him.

"Let's go dance, Ana", a naughty smile pulled up on Edward's lips and Ana liked him instantly. He was a no bullshit guy. It had been too long since Ana ever laid her eyes on anyone other than Joshua and it was sure refreshing to dance with a stranger for a change.

He pulled her up to the dance floor and Ana was feeling good drunk. The heady rush, flashing lights, awesome beats were adding rich flavours to her life. She felt Edward's hand protectively curl up on her waist while dancing and didn't do anything to stop it. She anyways needed the support to not accidentally stomp on his foot with her high heels. Also through side eye she noticed Kathy dancing with her partner from time to time.

Now, there was an 80s medley love song playing through the speakers and although it was upbeat, the crowd could feel the romance palpitating between them. Edward smiled warmly at Ana and pulled her up more closer. She leaned in his arms and moved her hips to the rhythm. She was looking into his eyes as he was doing the same.

Ana was lost in the moment when suddenly Edward's light brown eyes changed into blood red ones same as Oliver's. She was confused if she was hallucinating because of the alcohol and shook her head to clearly see it again. His gaze was soft and his light brown eyes were into Ana, desire of kissing her clearly visible. She felt a bit of peace and took a deep breath to calm down her jittery nerves.

While she blinked, she suddenly found Oliver in front of her instead of Edward and he was bringing his face closer to Ana's, just moments away from kissing her. She unexpectedly took a step back and pulled a little away from him only to observe that it was still Edward and she was clearly hallucinating.

The pendant glowed again mildly bringing Ana's attention to it.

Meanwhile, Edward was confused of Ana's actions because till now it seemed like she was enjoying and everything was going fine and suddenly she was startled looking here and there.

"Is…. Everything good?", he asked her gently for which she urgently nodded yes. Her eyes were trying to find Kathy but she could be found nowhere.

"I just… I'm searching for my friend…", the words left Ana quickly in a panic.

"Oh! They just went back to sit… Do you want to sit?", he was asking her while all Ana could see was Oliver.

It seemed as if Oliver was there in person, wearing a brown trench coat over the same black turtleneck t-shirt she saw him in early on the day. Ana couldn't believe her eyes and moreover she couldn't make out anything properly under the disco lights on the dance floor.

"Ana….", Edward was calling her while she was completely zoned out by everything. She again searched in the direction where she saw Oliver earlier but now he wasn't there anymore.

"I think you need to rest a bit…", he said concerned and took her hand in his. He was walking away wading through the crowd towards their booth with Ana in tow.

All of a sudden, Ana felt a hand hold her other free hand and yank her back away from Edward. Through the crowd, before Edward realized that Ana was missing, someone took her away.

It was all a blur and before she could realize the happenings, Ana was outside the dance floor, outside the pub in the coat check area facing the back of a tall guy in a brown jacket asking for Ana's coat to the attendant. She was pretty drunk to find out what just happened and then found some more courage to ask, "Who are you?", but her voice was lost miserably by a big group of grad students entering the pub pushing her on the way.

She lost balance and bumped on the back of the guy who took her out of the bar. Ana was again being pulled by her wrist and this time she was protesting instead of following him.

Ana was trying to pry open the hand that was having a strong hold on her but she was so much weaker compared to the guy yanking her forward.

"Hey…..", she shouted but nobody seemed to care.

They were finally out in the open, in front of the pub but the guy was still dragging her across to the side alleyway. Ana's heart was thundering against her chest and she was panicking inside.

"Stop! Hey….", she yelled finally making him stop on his tracks.

She was gulping for air holding the wall for support and looked up at him under the streetlights.

Ana wasn't wrong. It was the same damn turtleneck t-shirt and brown jacket and the same green eyes filled with hatred. Oliver was standing in front of her, really pissed off at her for some reason and Ana's heart beat slowed down as it was another known devil.

"What the hell are you thinking? Why did you drag me here?", she shouted at him through catching her breath earning a glare back from Oliver.

He took her coat and draped it over her in silence.

Oliver was furious. He was chilling in his house, reading an ancient book of symbols while he felt it first. Ana's feeling of panic, but as soon as it came up, it subsided and he ignored it. But then, immediately after that he was feeling so many other emptions which he didn't want to feel because of her.

All through the years, Oliver had lived as a human, he had never once looked at a girl in a sexual way. Although he acted like a playboy in front of the press to avoid suspicions, he had never felt those emotions which Ana was feeling at that moment.

He could've completely ignored it and went back to reading, but he wasn't able to do that because when Ana was intensely feeling that she was going to kiss someone, the same feeling had reached Oliver too and now felt the same thing.

It was too uncomfortable, he couldn't sit back and do nothing, so he used up his energy and portaled himself to wherever the blood diamond was which led him to Ana.

He was shocked to see that she was in a pub, fully drunk, about to kiss a guy and fantasizing it too. He had already heard about the story of Ana's breakup from Lucas and felt glad that she might not be having these kind of urges for some time, but to the contrary she was right there with someone going at it.

Oliver was furious at her and he had to drag her out of that place to stop that feeling.

"What?", she yelled again getting more closer to him after noticing that he was in his own world ignoring her.

"You're drunk…", he uttered in between clenched teeth.
