Tae's eyes dropped, his shoulders slumping in defeat. "I was involved in some... shady dealings," he said, his voice hesitant. "I was young and stupid, and I got in over my head. I did some things that I'm not proud of, things that hurt people."

Kai's heart went out to Tae, and he pulled him into a tight hug. "You're not that person anymore, Tae," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "You've changed, and you're trying to make amends. That's all anyone can ask for."

Tae nodded, his arms wrapping around Kai's waist. "Thank you, Kai," he whispered, his voice muffled against Kai's skin. "Thank you for understanding me."
