The next day was another school day, so after dinner Laura did her homework. Because they went to school within their pack, the subjects they were taught were a bit different than in human schools. Of course, we wolves also learned to count, write and read, we can't do without them because we come into contact with people. So during history we get global human history, but attention is mainly paid to the history of wolves. The same goes for the other subjects, more attention is also paid to sports because wolves simply have more strength and energy than people.
But we also get lessons in pack hierarchy and manners, the basics were of course taught at home but at school the focus is mainly on how to deal with other packs. In addition, we also have the subject, how people differ from us. Because in our human form we look a lot like people but there are still differences. Because people still do not accept us, we are not allowed to stand out when we are in their world. One of the things is that we are more athletic, but when we are in their world we wear wider clothes. Furthermore, we are also neater, stronger and we have a strict hierarchy and respect for that, while people do not care about the rules. It is sometimes quite difficult for us to deal with them.
This week our lesson schedule was different, we had extra lessons in dealing with other packs. We started to delve into who is higher in rank when when multiple packs come together. Usually it is clear, the Alpha, Luna and Beta and their families are at the top, followed by the Gammas and fighters with their families and of course we have respect for our elders. The fighters have a tournament every year to see who is the strongest, and the fighters are divided in that order.
In our pack, everyone goes to school until the age of 21, from the age of 16 you start specializing. Everyone from the age of 16 had an adjusted schedule but there were also young people because they also went to the ball in the summer.
For me it is easy, only the Alphas and Lunas are above me. But as the daughter of an Alpha, I am expected to know who is higher in rank in every situation.
