Chapter 2: The Emergence of the System and the Dual Personality

The night was dark, filled with the eerie groans of zombies echoing through the abandoned streets. Zayn walked silently, following a strong system signal while a group of survivors trailed behind him. Among them was a girl with jet-black hair and striking red eyes—Eliana, the girl Zayn's darker self had once saved.

Eliana (in a quiet voice): "Zayn, where are we going?"

Zayn (confidently): "There's a strong signal... We might find something that will help us survive."

Eliana (sighing): "I hope you're right... I have a bad feeling about this."

The First Attack

As if predicting the future, zombies suddenly emerged from the shadows, rushing toward them with terrifying speed.

Eliana (tense): "They're coming!"

Zayn didn't hesitate. He raised his hand and activated "Barrier Shield," buying them some time.

Eliana (impressed): "A useful ability, but will it be enough?"

Zayn: "Not forever. Get ready to fight."

Eliana pulled out a small dagger she had been hiding, preparing to defend herself.

The zombies were more numerous than Zayn expected, and the barrier was weakening fast. The pressure within him grew... and then he heard a voice inside.

Dark Zayn (chuckling softly): "Oh, really? Looks like you need me more than you think."

Suddenly, Zayn's eyes turned pitch black, and a cold, dark aura surrounded him.

Eliana (surprised but not afraid): "You've changed again..."

Zayn's dark self didn't respond. He simply raised his hand and activated "Shadow Slash," sending a black wave that tore through the zombies like paper.

Eliana remained still. Unlike the others, she showed no fear. Instead, her gaze was filled with curiosity rather than terror.

Once the battle was over, Zayn gradually regained control, his blue eyes returning to their usual brilliance. He looked around and saw the survivors staring at him in fear—all except for one... Eliana.

Eliana (calmly): "If you think I'll be scared of you, you're wrong."

Zayn (surprised): "You're... not afraid?"

Eliana (with a faint smile): "How could I fear the one who saved me before?"

Something strange stirred within Zayn's heart. He had grown used to fearful stares, but Eliana... she was different.
