"Are you ready to die?"
Guts asked as his hand went towards his Dragon Slayer. The 5 men were intimidated for a second before they got angry. With anger, they took their weapons out as they surrounded Guts.
"Are we ready to die? You are the one that is going to die today!"
With a roar, a man with a club ran at Guts. His expression was distorted as he saw that Guts did not move from the spot. His face contorted as his eyes narrowed.
Excitement and arousal made it onto his face. The expression was disgusting. Guts sneered, his eyes looking at the man like he was already dead meat.
Boom!
With a weak sound, the club hit Guts in the chest. Jill fell onto the ground in fear, her eyes closed in horror, while the men around smirked with excitement, cheering the man who hit Guts' on.
"Take that then!- Huh?"
Before the man could even celebrate his supposed kill. Everyone stared in fear and shock as Guts stood there still. His face was disappointed and proud at the same time.
"Is that all you could do? What a fucking weakling."
Guts tapped his chest, and he sighed as he barely felt anything from the attack. It was like getting punched by a baby. This is not metaphorical. The attack did as much as a baby punch would.
Guts took that attack to his chest for only one reason. He wanted to see how strong he was after killing the slug apostle. His body became stronger after absorbing the force from the apostle.
Although he did not absorb all his power, the amount he absorbed was still much higher than even the snake apostle's.
"Well, I suppose I have other business to get to. I will swiftly execute all 5 of you."
Guts vanished from the place he was standing on, leaving behind an explosion of dirt. The 5 men were frozen as they looked ahead. Their view suddenly tilted a 90-degree angle.
"Huh?..."
Jill looked terrified as she felt a warm liquid splash onto her cheek. In front of her, the 5 men who kidnapped her were split from their waist, falling down with frozen expressions.
"Are you okay?"
Jill woke up from her daze. She jumped back as she saw Guts reach out towards her. She stopped moving when she saw that he had no weapons in his hand.
"Guts. You scared the girl, you silly octopus head!"
From behind Guts, Puck flew out with a happy smile. Jill screamed in fright, causing Puck to jump back too from the scare.
"Hey! We just saved you?"
Puck watched in confusion as he saw Jill's look of fear. Guts stepped between them. He pushed Jill behind him as the ground started trembling.
The tree next to them started to tremble as its roots started ripping through the ground. The tree had faces on it, most likely the souls that were attached to it from the druid sacrifice.
It let out a sad and hateful howl, full of pain and fear. Guts sighed as he gripped his sword. Guts vanished from the place, appearing behind the tree in a black flash.
"What speed?..."
Jill lost Guts from her sight. She only saw him behind the tree again the next second. Guts put his sword back on his back, and the tree started falling apart as it turned into small fist-sized cubes.
"Hey, little girl. What is your name?"
Guts asked as he turned around with a smile. Jill nodded as she stood up quickly. She then introduced herself to Guts.
"My name is Jill. What is yours?"
Guts smiled as he started walking away. Jill quickly followed him. Puck flying behind Guts, a smile on his face.
"My name is Guts. Where do you live?"
Jill caught up with Guts. She started leading him towards her village. She needed to get back to her mom.
"Follow me"
Jill said, and Guts nodded as he started following her. Soon, the 3 of them made their way to the village. It was rundown and windy.
Guts entered and noticed that many nuns were praying. Jill walked towards a door and peeked inside it.
The door opened, and Jill turned around to try to hide herself, but the woman quickly recognised, calling out to Jill in a worried voice.
"Jill? Where have you been all night? At your age!"
Jill's mother screamed with worry, and Jill sighed as she heard steps from behind her. The door opened, and a man with a mug full of alcohol walked out.
"Did I just hear you say god damn Jill?"
An annoying voice caught Guts' voice, and from behind the nun came out a man who was short and fat.
"Ya' little slag! Ran back, did ya? How about making yourself useful and getting me more sake?"
Jill looked down under the gaze of the man. She trembled before she looked up at the man who was her father.
"All day, we drowned by your talk about some crazy lost battles! You don't even care what happens to me!"
Jill's father raised his hand, and Jill closed her eyes, but the pain never came. Jill heard gasps of pain from her father and shocked gasps from her mother.
Opening her eyes, she saw Guts holding his hand with a crushing force, forcing her father to his knees, growling in pain.
"Hey! What do you think you are doing to your own daughter!"
Puck screamed as he slapped the bozo in the face, his tiny hands barely doing anything to the man.
"An Elf!"
Gasps were heard all around as Puck was seen by the villagers from wherever they could get weapons.
Guts sighed as he grabbed Puck. With a jump over the people, his figure leapt a distance of tens of meters. Jill looked at this in wonder and awe. She looked at the way he ran, and her eyes became firm.
Guts ran away until he found an old building just outside the town. He entered with a sigh and took out some of the food and water he had left in his bag.
"Puck. I am going to sleep for a bit. Stay careful."
Guts warned as he closed his eyes. Puck nodded as he went to lay down on his cape for some warmth.
Guts let out a sigh as he closed his eyes. A few minutes later he entered sleep, and his mind appeared in a dark space full of swirls. It had souls and human faces trapped inside them.
"Guts... Why did you not save me?"
"gutssss! I will kill you!"
"You miserable existence! Just kill yourself like that useless mother of yours!"
Guts sighed in annoyance as he watched the swirling souls of the people he killed. And the people that were close to Guts from the band of the hawk.
But he was not really Guts. He felt bad for them, but he would never feel guilty for this. P[lu this is not even the problem with falling asleep to Guts. The main problem is the Sucubbus.
Outside, a few hours passed as night arrived. The sun slowly started climbing up, and Jill sneaked out of her room with a basket of food. Jill left toward where Guts stayed.
Entering. Jill saw Guts sleeping. Puck made a shushing noise. Jill nodded as she placed the basket down. She sat down next to Guts.
2 Hours later...
The sky suddenly was filled with noise, and Guts imminently opened his eyes, his hand smashing a succubus above his head. Jill woke up startled at the noise.
"The kids! They are here!"
She uttered, and Puck looked at her confused. Guts stood up as he took the basket. Opening the basket, Guts started eating the food rapidly so he had energy.
The sky was lit up with lights as Elf-like children with wings on their backs flew over the town.
"Elves?!"
Puck muttered in shock.
