The New Elemental God

Adam facepalmed, trying to hide a chuckle. It was fun to see Shu struggle to do something so trivial.

Hikari was massaging the space between her brows, trying not to lash out at the Deity.

"Shu, for the Elements' sake, just get down," Hikari said with her usual firm tone, but without sounding irritated.

Going down again, Shu lowered their legs and hovered over the floor. The space separating the ground from their foot was barely noticeable, but yet there was no contact.

Shu stretched the tip of their naked foot. It was so pale it reflected the sunlight. Getting even closer without touching the wooden planks, the tension was crushing.

Hikari and Adam were bending over to get a better look, getting lower as Shu got closer.

And they were back at the start. Shu was holding their legs near the cabin ceiling.
