Chapter 8.4 - the Trip

They traveled for hours without stopping. Divya was hundreds of kilometers away, but they were determined to get there before sunrise. Landing under the cover of darkness and blending into the crowd heading toward the mountain was their only option, as the underground had just one entrance.

Flying above the clouds, the weather was getting harsher as they reached higher altitudes. The wind was colder, with sharp snowflakes that made visibility very difficult. Shu put up a shield for them to fly more comfortably; otherwise, they would've been forced to take a break or continue on foot.

Behind them, the first rays of sunlight began to erupt.

"We should be near." Shu announced.

As morning came, the shield was no longer necessary, the snowstorm had passed.

As they broke through the thick wall of clouds obscuring their view of the ground, they started their descent.

"Everyone, stay close to me."
