Chapter 9.6 - 1%

Watching the young God move, it was like Hikari herself could breathe again.

"What is happening?" Disoriented, Adam asked.

"You tell me! The mountain is crumbling. You need to stop this."

Looking around, Adam saw the walls tremble and the ground shake. He didn't remember doing all of that.

"It wasn't me…" Like flashes of a camera, Adam remembered bits of the fight between Lou and the other Adam. "Something took over my body."

In the boy's face, Hikari saw no lies, but it didn't change anything.

"You are still the only one who can stop this, so do it."

As the Goddess stood up, the small torch that lit up the room burned brighter. Time was passing, and the tunnels must have already fallen in the lower levels.

"Okay."

With his head still spinning and hearing everything muffled, Adam stood up and concentrated on the tremor.

Enough!

But the Earth didn't. It was still shaking just as strongly as before.
