Chapter 9.7 - the Earth God

The world was a void, a vast expanse of nothingness that swallowed Adam whole. His body tumbled through the darkness, weightless and disoriented, as if the universe itself had rejected him. The pain in his head throbbed, a constant reminder of the desperate act that had brought him here. He had collided with his own reflection, his true self, and now he was falling—falling into the depths of his own soul, into the core of his being.

But as he fell, something began to change. The darkness around him started to shift, to ripple like water disturbed by a stone. Faint lights began to appear, distant and flickering, like stars waking up in the night sky. Adam reached out, instinctively, though there was nothing to grasp. The lights grew brighter, closer, until they surrounded him, swirling and dancing like fireflies. He realized they weren't stars—they were memories.
