Chapter 6

Seraphina's body suddenly froze.

She quickly let go of my hand and turned to face me, her face instantly turning pale.

Gunner stood nearby, laughing contentedly.

Seraphina pulled me back into the room, slamming the door shut with a thud.

Gunner's laughter was cut off outside.

She looked down at me, her eyes filled with panic.

Holding my hand, she asked me.

"Alec, are you cold?"

I calmly looked at her, "You said you wouldn't see him."

"I didn't mean to see him, I really didn't contact him."

"Who is he?"

"A friend."

"What kind of friend?"

Seraphina fell silent.

After parting on bad terms last night, Seraphina didn't mention a word about it the next day.

For Seraphina, it was a brand new day.

She would still introduce herself to me, tirelessly professing her love day after day.

But Gunner didn't stay in yesterday.

He started appearing frequently in our daily lives.
