Chapter 4: Walking on Two Boats?

Kenji finally made it home.

The moment he stepped inside, he wasted no time—he summoned Excalibur from his system inventory.

A golden light filled the room as the legendary holy sword appeared in his grasp.

His eyes sparkled. "So this is… Excalibur."

He gave it a few practice swings. The weight was perfect. The power thrumming inside the blade was overwhelming.

But then—

His excitement faded.

Because no matter how much he tried—he couldn't activate its true power.

The legendary holy light of Excalibur remained dormant.

Kenji scowled. "Damn it… I can only use it as a normal sword?"

The system responded.

Kenji clicked his tongue in frustration. He had a powerful body—thanks to Thunder Breathing—but no magic, no demonic power, no divine energy.

Without that, Excalibur's ultimate attack was out of reach.

"Tch. Whatever. I'll figure something out later."

Even in its dormant state, Excalibur was still one of the strongest weapons against devils and Fallen Angels.

With that thought, Kenji sighed and collapsed onto his bed, exhausted.

For the first time since coming to this world… he had killed.

Even though it was a stray devil, it was still the first time he had taken a life.

Oddly enough, he didn't feel sick or guilty.

Just… tired.

As his eyes slowly shut, he muttered—

"I need to get stronger…"

And then—he fell into deep sleep.

Kenji's alarm blared, snapping him awake.

He groaned, rubbing his eyes. "Damn, I slept like a rock…"

After a quick shower and a simple breakfast, he grabbed his bag and left his apartment, heading toward Kuoh Academy.

But today—he had a mission.

Last night, he realized something.

If Rias and Akeno had Golden Eggs… then other major characters in Kuoh Academy must have them too.

That meant—Kiba, Koneko, and even Issei could be carrying Golden Eggs.

So today, Kenji had a small goal—find as many Golden Egg carriers as possible.

And get stronger.

As Kenji approached the entrance of Kuoh Academy—

He spotted Rias and Akeno.

Standing beside them was a petite girl with white hair and golden eyes.

Koneko Toujou.

Kenji's eyes narrowed slightly.

Hovering above Koneko's head—

A glowing, two-star Golden Egg.

"Bingo."

But before he could react—

Akeno turned toward him, her violet eyes glimmering mischievously.

Then—she smirked.

"Oh my… Kenji-kun."

She tilted her head, feigning innocence.

"Are you trying to date both me and Rias at the same time?"

Kenji froze mid-step.

"Huh?"

Rias blinked, looking mildly amused.

Koneko simply stared at him, expressionless.

Kenji felt his soul leave his body.

"What… What kind of misunderstanding is this?!"
