After several weeks in the hospital, Yami was finally discharged. The nurses and doctors were impressed by his rapid development, though they couldn't explain it. To them, he was simply a precocious baby, but to Yami, it was a sign that something about him was different. Though he didn't yet understand it, he was determined to figure it out.
Haruno and Masato took him to their new home, a small but cozy house in the city of Osaka. Yami observed everything carefully as they carried him in their arms. The bustling streets, the tall buildings, the sounds and smells of the city... everything was new to him. Though his senses were still adjusting, he no longer felt as overwhelmed as before.
When they arrived at the house, Haruno carried him inside and gently placed him in a crib in what would be his room. Yami looked around, noting every detail. The walls were painted a soft color, and there were toys and small furniture everywhere. It was a safe place, a place where he could grow and learn.
"Welcome home, little one," said Haruno, smiling as she gently stroked his cheek. "This will be your home from now on."
Yami looked at her, feeling a connection he couldn't explain. Though he didn't understand her words, he knew she was important to him. Masato approached and picked him up, gently rocking him.
"How's it going, champ?" asked Masato, smiling. "Ready to explore your new home?"
Yami didn't respond, but his mind was working. He knew this was a new beginning, a place where he could learn and grow. Though he was still a baby, he was determined to make the most of this opportunity.
That night, after Haruno and Masato fell asleep, Yami stayed awake in his crib. The silence of the house allowed him to focus, and he decided to experiment with his abilities. He knew something about him was different, and he was determined to figure out what it was.
With concentrated effort, he managed to lift an arm and move it slowly. It was a clumsy movement, but to him, it was a monumental achievement. Then, he tried to focus on his breathing, imagining the air entering and leaving his lungs as a calming wave enveloping him. Slowly, the chaos around him became more distant, more manageable.
Yami didn't know what made him different, but he was determined to find out. And when he did, nothing would stop him.
