The original character Yami Kurogane and the plot of this fanfiction are my own creation.

The Kurogane household was a place where time seemed to stand still, a refuge that harbored both the warmth of family and the tensions hidden beneath the surface. For Yami, each day was a silent battlefield, where his mind worked tirelessly while his body remained in a primitive stage of development. Despite his fragility, his intellect shone with an unsettling clarity. Every sound, every movement, and every small gesture were analyzed and cataloged with the precision of a watchmaker.

Over the course of several weeks, Yami began to understand that his environment could be manipulated. He observed Haruno and Masato closely, noting how their reactions could be influenced by his own actions. He decided that he must behave like a docile and calm baby. If he could project an image of need and vulnerability, he could gain their trust and manipulate their emotions to obtain what he desired.Haruno, with her innate tenderness, became a central figure in this game.

She fed him and cradled him with almost unbreakable devotion. Yami learned to use that connection to his advantage; when he wanted attention, he would emit a small cry or fixate his gaze on a shiny or soft object—like the plush bear that had captured his interest. This bear became a symbol of his strategy: something he could use to draw his parents toward him.Masato, on the other hand, was more energetic and loud. He tried to make Yami laugh with silly sounds and exaggerated gestures.

However, Yami did not let himself be swayed by easy laughter; instead, he maintained a serious and contemplative expression. He knew that by not reacting like a typical baby, he could provoke confusion in Masato, who constantly sought his son's approval. This dynamic gave Yami an advantage: he could manipulate his father's emotions by keeping him in a state of uncertainty. As time passed, Yami began to develop his motor skills more rapidly than expected. Although he could not crawl or move with complete agility yet, he had learned to control small movements: lifting his head, moving his arms intentionally, and slightly turning in his crib.

Each small advance was a strategic victory; every time he managed to reach for a toy or change position without assistance, he felt himself getting closer to his goals. One night, while observing the world from his crib—a safe but limited place—Yami felt a latent energy within him. It was as if something powerful was slowly awakening inside him. With each deep breath he took—each conscious inhalation—he could feel that inner strength intensifying. He did not fully understand what this meant or how he might harness it in the future.Meanwhile, Haruno continued to provide him with unconditional love and attention.

However, Yami knew he had to maintain a calculated emotional distance; he could not allow that connection to become too strong or vulnerable. His goal was clear: to become a master of deception and manipulation within the family environment. With each passing day, Yami drew closer to unraveling the hidden mysteries within himself. As he closed his eyes—tired but determined—that night—with the soft murmur of home filling the air—he thought: "Every step is a strategy; every gesture is a play." When he finally discovered the truth about himself and the world around him, nothing and no one would be able to stop him.
