Blake
She's finally here!
I couldn't sleep all night knowing that I was gonna go through senior year with her. It's been a couple of years, and I really missed her. Her parents finally agreed to relocate back here from Monacco.
I wanted nothing more than to jump out of my seat and give her a big hug when she stepped forward in front of the class. Nadia looked around the class before setting her eyes on me. She seemed relieved and happy before introducing herself to the class.
I couldn't keep my eyes off of her throughout all three morning lessons. Nadia's changed. She's even more breathtaking from the time I saw her when we were 12 years old. I just can't get enough of her. Man, I'm screwed.
I'm really glad that Nadia got along with my friends. I'm sure they all like her. Who wouldn't? It's impossible to not love her.
Classes were finally over, and we were now waiting for Dom, my driver, to come and pick us up.
"So, what did they say?" I asked, curious.
"They obviously agreed." She smiled, revealing her dimple.
I sighed.
"Are you that happy to have me over?" She asked.
"Of course, I am." She nodded her head and then stayed silent.
"What's wrong?"
She sighed. "I don't know. I guess I'm just nervous."
"About meeting my parents?"
"I think so."
"Hey. They love you, Nadia. I know it's been a couple of years since you last saw them, but I promise they're still the same caring people you know. Trust me."
She exhaled. "Okay."
"I'm here. Remember?"
"Yeah." Dom brought the car around. Nadia and I got in, ready to head home.
"I can't believe we've been apart for 7 whole years. That's crazy."
"I know."
"Any girlfriend I should know?" She asked.
I chuckled. "Of course not. I hope that's the case for you too."
"It is." We both nodded our heads, smiling like little kids who just ate their favourite candy.
"Nadia!" Mum ran over from the living room couch to embrace Nadia.
"Come here." Dad also embraced her.
"Are none of you gonna give me a hug?" I asked, feeling left out.
"How've you been dear?" Mum asked.
"How was your first day of school?" Dad asked.
My parents adore Nadia like I told her. She's the daughter they never got to have. Look at how the two of them ignored me.
We spent the rest of the evening catching up on everything. Nadia's parents also came over for dinner, adding to the merry atmosphere. With our parents having their chitchat, Nadia and I were able to sneak out to my room to have some alone time.
"I missed this." She said, looking around my room.
"Me too."
"Wait, is that a diary?" She quickly grabbed my diary from my desk, running away from me as I chased her around my room.
She was able to read a few front pages from the diary, and that's okay. I was able to snatch it from her after tackling her to my bed. I would be so embarrassed if she got to read the middle pages. I wouldn't be able to face her.
"So Blakey has a diary?" She teased.
"I actually do."
"Don't tell me you got it after what I said." I remained silent. "Blakey!"
I got off from her as I hid the diary on the top shelf of my walk-in closet, where she wouldn't be able to reach.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"I think I said something like 'I love boys who write their feelings in a diary'."
"Fine. I did get it after what you said."
"You really took me seriously at that age?"
"Why not? I was only trying to impress you."
"At 8 years old? Blakey." She came over at my working desk, where I was seated and sat on my lap.
"What are you doing?" I was flustered. What was going on?
"You're so cute, Blakey."She looked at me, smiling heartily before kissing...
... my cheek.
