Wronged

A few days went by, and Kaia still remained adamant on not speaking out on her issue, which just made Nadia even more frustrated. Nadia decided to leave her be since Kaia wouldn't hear her out no matter how much she tried to reason with her.

Unfortunately, on that Thursday morning, what Kaia feared would happen, did in fact, happen. Everyone at Elitecrest High caught wind of how Mr Fitzgerald tried to take advantage of Kaia under the pretext of scolding her for not submitting her quiz test.

Kaia ran straight to the washroom, locking herself in one of the stalls after news of what happened to her on that day spread on the school's official forum. She couldn't stand the pitiful stares, hushed murmurs anymore from the students as she walked past them through the hallways to get to her class just now.

Hazel and Gina tried comforting her as she broke into tears behind the locked stall in the washroom. No matter how she looked at it, only one person was to blame: Nadia. How else did everyone else come to find out about what happened to her?

Spreading this would be a piece of cake for Nadia considering how influential she and her family are. Had Nadia figured out Kaia's plan to spy on her in hopes of getting relevant business Intel? Was this her way of foiling Kaia's plans? If so, Nadia was very cruel.

Kaia stepped out of the stall, startling her two best friends who were previously leaning against the stall. She wiped the tears away from her face, getting ready to confront the person she strongly believed to be the culprit.

Kaia spotted Nadia standing by Lexi's desk along with the others from the usual friend group she was always seen with. It was now or never. Better yet, since a lot of their classmates were already present in class, they'd all bear witness as she confronted the culprit.

Slap! The painful sound of someone's cheek being slapped was heard across the class room that was previously filled with noise. Everyone present was surprised and turned to see just who got slapped and who slapped the other.

Nadia clutched her cheek. Kaia slapped her real hard that she still heard that pin-drop screech in her ears. Despite all the glares she was receiving from Nadia's now close friends, Kaia stood her ground.

"Didn't I warn you not to tell anyone about what happened to me? Why did you have to humiliate me like this?"

Nadia glared at Kaia in confusion. "Are you crazy!"

Kaia scoffed. "So, I was right. You're the reason everyone found out about what happened to me."

"You can't just come in here, slap the sh*t out of me, and then accuse me of something I didn't do." Nadia glared back at Kaia.

Blake shielded Nadia behind his back when Kaia wanted to pounce on her again.

"You don't want me laying my hands on you, Kaia." He glared back at her.

"What's going on over there?" Ms. Hillary asked. She had just stepped into the classroom to find several students gathered in one place.

The other students quickly ran to their seats after hearing Ms. Hillary's voice. Blake held Nadia's hand as him and his friends also went back to their seats. Kaia could only follow behind, feeling even more wronged.
