Chapter 48: Annihilation

Koshino had been lingering outside the battlefield for quite some time, not making a move. He was merely contemplating how to help Kakashi and the others break through successfully. 

Meanwhile, during Kakashi and Guy's conversation, as the Mist ninja around them slightly let their guard down, a sudden glint flashed in Koshino's eyes!

In that instant, Koshino truly embodied the saying "silent until the moment of surprise." 

Without any hesitation, his hands formed seals, and with chakra coursing through his body, Koshino swiftly executed the secret technique he had developed: the Shadow Hand!

"Whoosh!"

The shadow solidified, transforming into a tangible Shadow Hand.

The Mist ninja had not noticed any changes, especially the sensory Jonin among them, who was severely injured by Kakashi. 

Koshino controlled the Shadow Hand beneath his feet, slowly approaching several Mist ninja nearby. 

Then, just as the Mist Jonin was laughing maniacally, mocking Kakashi and the others, there was a sudden "whoosh"!

Under Koshino's control, the Shadow Hand tightly grasped the ankle of the Mist Jonin, immobilizing him. 

Immediately after, a brilliant blue light shone forth. In Koshino's other Shadow Hand, the signature technique of the Fourth Hokage, the Rasengan, was formed. With just a gentle push forward, "Boom!"

A Mist Jonin was sent flying after being hit by the Rasengan!

When that Mist Jonin crashed into a tree trunk ahead and forcibly fell to the ground, he died on the spot from the Rasengan's impact!

Koshino's shadow assault plan had, in an instant, killed a Mist Jonin! 

"Beautiful!"

Almost at the moment of the Mist Jonin's death, not only did Koshino silently think "beautiful," but even Kakashi was astonished by the perfection of Koshino's plan.

Of course, using the Shadow Hand to unleash the Rasengan was the key to Koshino's shadow assault plan's success!

It turned out that when Koshino was training in advanced Rasengan techniques, mastering the Double Rasengan and Rasengan Throw, he could use the Shadow Hand or Shadow Clone to wield a standard Rasengan.

And after mastering the Giant Rasengan and Fingertip Rasengan, using the Shadow Hand to perform the Rasengan Throw became an effortless task!

So, having just taken down a Mist Jonin, and seizing the moment of panic among the Mist ninja, Koshino coldly smirked.

"Are you so surprised just because I took down a Jonin?"

"Did you really think a Chunin and three Genin could defeat me?"

"Now you know what it's like to be outmatched, don't you?"

"Rasengan Throw!"

"Whoosh!"

With a cold smile, Koshino's gaze fell on another Mist Jonin, the only one left who could threaten Kakashi.

If he could take down this Mist Jonin, then the remaining Mist Chunin and Genin would be nothing but fodder!

If Kakashi couldn't even defeat a few "fodder," then his Jonin title would be truly undeserved!

So, in the next second, Koshino gave the Mist Jonin no time to react. The Shadow Hand once again formed a Rasengan and then "threw" it fiercely!

The Rasengan Throw was completed, and under the guidance of the Shadow Hand, it took only a second to almost reach the other Mist Jonin!

However, a Jonin-level ninja is still a Jonin-level ninja! 

Having witnessed the previous Jonin's tragic death, the Mist Jonin Koshino was now targeting wouldn't just sit and wait for death!

"Just a little trick. Did you really think you could use it twice?"

"So naive!"

"Clang!"

With a swift motion, he gripped the kunai tightly. As Koshino unleashed his spiral throwing technique, the Mist Village jonin managed to block the Rasengan thrown by Koshino's Shadow Hand with sheer force.

However, the Mist jonin underestimated the power of the Rasengan! Come on, this was a jutsu developed by the Fourth Hokage! In the original storyline, the protagonist Naruto relied heavily on the Rasengan in the early stages, didn't he?

Using a small kunai, the Mist jonin could barely withstand the Rasengan's force by exerting all his strength. Yet, under the terrifying power of the Rasengan, he was forced to retreat bit by bit, clearly struggling against its might.

At that moment, the Mist jonin seemed to have forgotten that an even more terrifying presence than Koshino was still right in front of him!

So, before the Mist jonin could determine the outcome against Koshino's Rasengan, suddenly, there was a "zzzz" sound! With a flash of blue light in his hand, Kakashi's S-rank jutsu, the Lightning Cutter, was complete! A streak of lightning flashed, and with a "swish," the head of the second Mist jonin flew into the air!

"Koshino!"

"Target, the last Mist jonin!"

"Hmph, got it."

Hearing Kakashi's indifferent command, Koshino let out a cold snort, his hand signs not slowing down at all.

Under Koshino's surprise attack, who could have imagined that two Mist jonin would meet their end in mere seconds, without even a chance to resist?

So, when those two Mist jonin fell, the eyes of the Mist ninjas were filled with shock, and even Guy and the other ninjas from the Leaf Village were staring in astonishment at the changes in the battlefield.

Moreover, what shocked Guy, and the others even more, was the subsequent coordination between Koshino and Kakashi!

Just as Kakashi issued the command for Koshino to assist in the attack, several shurikens flew out from the forest!

Watching the shurikens flying through the air, the heavily injured Mist sensory-type jonin smirked inwardly, thinking that these kids were still just kids, using shurikens so poorly that they couldn't even aim at a target.

But just as the Mist sensory-type jonin was thinking this, with a few "bang" sounds, the shurikens flying in arcs collided with each other in mid-air. Immediately after, Koshino's Shadow Shuriken pinned the Mist jonin, along with several nearby Mist chunin and genin, to their shadows, immobilizing them in an instant.

With their bodies bound by the Shadow Shuriken, even a Mist jonin, let alone a kage-level Mist ninja, would become a target for Kakashi. So, in the next second, when a flash of red light appeared in Kakashi's tightly closed eye, the lives of all the Mist ninjas vanished under the brilliance of the Lightning Cutter.

Meanwhile, from a distance, Koshino, who had remained unseen, watched Kakashi claim the lives of the Mist ninjas. His gaze fell on Kakashi's right hand, the one wielding the Lightning Cutter.
