Chapter 4: Selina Sky

[2 hours later]

A car was parked outside the gates of the university that Leon attended; the passing students couldn't help but stare in awe at the vehicle mostly because most of them could never afford it.

The car was a pure white sports car with a sleek design that allowed for more aerodynamic movement, the car itself wasn't modified in any way but what made it stand out and caused all who walked past to exclaim in was the infinite logo on its bumper.

"No way!! That's the latest model of the infinity-S the I-S-2, I didn't know it came out already."

Exclaimed a student causing some murmurs among a few who were at the scene, the car was indeed impressive as it was a car developed by the Company SilverTech.

However what was more important was the blonde-haired young woman that leaned on its side seemingly waiting for someone.

She wore a white sports bra and a long sleeved blue jacket that showed her midriff along with black yoga pants and sneakers, a face mask and sunglasses covering her face, hiding her identity.

While her face was hidden to everyone it wasn't that hard for Leon (who just finished getting rid of the cursed spirits near and within the university) to figure out who it was

With a flick of his wrist, he cast a spell over himself to hide his own identity but have Selina recognize him.

He approach her while ignoring the murmurs and exclamations of the bystanders.

"What are you doing here?!"

Leon began the conversation with a question, he was rather baffled as to why she was here at his campus.

"Humph some rude bastard, aren't you? No greeting or a thank you for coming to pick you up."

"Good afternoon and thanks for the ride."

Selina responded in a displeased tone which prompted Leon to sigh and offered her a greeting and a thank you, the girl was certainly beautiful enough to have him apologise even though he hadn't done anything wrong or perhaps he was simping trying to carry favour with her, he did find her abrasive attitude to be sexy.

The two entered the car and left the area leaving a bunch of students wondering who they were.

"So, the real reason you came to pick me up?"

"Shut up"

She was quite unreasonable it seems, refusing to give him answers but he did as she commanded.

He could easily get the information he needed from her without a sweat but that would be a violation of privacy, hypnosis and mind control were distasteful to him.

The two rode in silence with nothing but the smooth sound of the engine being the source of sound, basically silence since the engine hardly made any loud sounds, buildings and people slowly began to disappear as they exited the city with the speed ever increasing.

The girl was determined to stay silent and not say anything and Leon was fine with that after all he didn't perceive her as a threat, he crossed his legs and arms before he let his head rest on the seat and closed his eyes.

The car ride was so smooth and peaceful that he fell asleep, luckily, he didn't snore, so it didn't bother the driver. After about 2 hours Leon felt a sudden lurch forward and was then caught by the seat belt preventing him from being thrown into the windshield.

"Get out"

A little disoriented from the sudden stop of the car he didn't respond to the girl's statement but instead rubbed his eyes and looked around.

"Huh?"

"I said get out."

"The fuck?!! why?"

Much like how anyone would react to the situation Leon asked with clear shock in his voice, by the looks of things they were near a cliff, the car had parked far away from the edge.

He couldn't help but wonder why she would bring them here, if she thought she was going to leave him in the middle nowhere then she's fucking crazy but then again it was not like he couldn't get back home without issue but still this was rather unprovoked from her.

Leon stared at her with unconcealed confusion prompting her to let out a sigh and answer his question.

"I need to test you, so get out."

"Test me? what for?"

The frown on her deepened the more resistance he put up; she tightly grasped her steering wheel however she quickly took a deep breath before loosening her grasp as she calmed herself.

"My father wants me to marry you and you want to marry me, but I don't want that so I wanna know if I can trust you at least"

Selina explained, causing Leon to nod his head in agreement, she made sense both he and her father were ignoring her feelings on the matter, so her situation is understandable.

He really does want her but doing it forcefully isn't the way, plus having a harem where one member is unhappy is not ideal and happiness is the main goal of any relationship.

After having thought about it he decided to step out the vehicle and Selina followed suit and the two of them walked towards the edge of the cliff.

The walk there was silent with Leon more than a little awkward while Selina hurriedly walked before him, she was quite in a hurry for some reason. Once they arrived Selina moved aside and gestured for him to move forward.

He looked over the edge and whistled, the drop would be quite far and if someone jumped they'd definitely die upon impact with the water below.

"Now in order to prove yourself to me and show me that you love me jump off the cliff, if you survive, I'll marry you but if you don't want to then I'll do everything in my power to end this farce."

Her voice was quite cold with no hint of playfulness, the girl was dead serious. Marrying someone by being forced to was never something she was going to accept without resistance.

Of course any normal person would probably freak out and tell her that she's crazy and there's no way he could do such a thing, however for Leon that wasn't the case, he had few things to consider.

The first thing was that if he does jump, he'll survive with relatively no scratch or injuries, magic was bullshit like that, he was sure he could probably survive a fall from the stratosphere and walk away alive and he probably would come out of such a fall with no scratches, so this cliff challenge was nothing.

The second thing was if he does fall, he would have to injure himself to make it more believable, while that's not a problem by itself but it would require him to be handicapped for a while, a small price to pay which is Selina Sky's hand in marriage.

All the things to consider were quite trivial and inconsequential so ultimately, he decided it best to just jump, although it would be ill advised to Jump off a cliff just because the girl you like said so.

"What are you scared of? I suppose you don't really want to marry me."

Selina scoffed, she knew he wouldn't jump, no sane human could do such a thing, Which was exactly what she was hoping for.

Once Leon pussies out and doesn't jump, all that would be left would be to convince her father how much of a coward he is and that he is a spineless man with nothing to offer.

She never really understood why her father was so insistent on this marriage with basically a nobody.

Leon did not come from a rich background he had a passable face for sure but there's nothing he can offer the company or her family but regardless, once this whole marriage thing is settled, she'll have the choice to marry someone she does love which is her current boyfriend.

"Nah I'm not scared; I was just wondering what you'd look like in a wedding dress."

Was all Leon said before letting himself fall backwards and fell off the cliff and saw the look on Selina's face, a smile was etched on his face as he saw the shock show itself on her face.

"No wait!!!"

Selina panicked and stepped forward to try and grab him, but she couldn't, and the man descended the cliff with a smile on his face.

"FUUUUCKKKK!!!!!"

She grabbed her head in panic as the realisation of what she had done slowly sunk into her head, she began to pace around while simultaneously shouting profanities before she quickly ran for her car and sped off back into the city.

In hindsight it was great that she had worn a mask and nobody saw her real face, meaning as long as she simply changed the number plate and colour of the car no one should be the wiser.
