An Unexpected Goodbye

Tripti paced back and forth, gripping her phone tightly as she tried to process Sarvagya's words. Her frustration was evident in her tone.

"What do you mean you're leaving this evening? Why didn't you tell me earlier? You left before I even woke up, and now you're going without even meeting me? This is not fair!"

Sarvagya glanced at his phone screen and sighed, his voice soft but firm.

"Work piled up. I have to go to Ahmedabad to close a deal. When I left in the morning, I didn't know I'd have to leave today itself."

Tripti narrowed her eyes. "Oh? You didn't know in the morning, but now you suddenly do? How convenient."

Sarvagya chuckled lightly. "The meeting was confirmed in the afternoon. It's scheduled for early morning tomorrow, so I'd rather leave today and get some rest before it."

Tripti folded her arms. "You could've just slept early tonight and left in the morning. Wouldn't that be easier?"
