The terrace was bathed in a soft golden glow as Tripti sat against the cool wall, earphones plugged in, the faint sound of music playing as she gazed at the distant city lights. It was peaceful here. Or at least, it should have been.
But her heart felt heavy.
Things had changed. She wasn't sure exactly when, but they had. Sarvagya had been distant lately. Work had consumed him, and she understood that—of course, she did. But still, something felt… different. He used to share everything with her. Now, he barely spoke. He worked late, locked himself in his study when he was home, and even when they were together, it felt like his mind was somewhere else.
Tripti exhaled slowly, pushing the thoughts aside. She was probably just overthinking.
Then, suddenly, she felt it. A presence.
Someone was watching her.
