Waking up from my bed as soon as my alarm clock went off. The window shows no sign of light, therefore it's still four in the morning.
Class starts at seven but I wake up around four so I can be fully prepared. But one thing why I wake up around this hour, is to save my commute money.
Walking may be tiring but it's worth the exercise, though it can be dangerous if I keep it up. But still, I have my own reasons.
Leaving my room, I head my way to the kitchen, my mom stood before the kitchen counter, already cooking something.
"Lan? You're awake too early." She stops stirring the pot and quickly took the water jug from the fridge.
"Mhm...I have to do something."
"You sure it's not a meet up with your girlfriend?" She hands me a glass of water, I took it from her hand with a scowling face.
"It's not..."
I drank the water and immediately gave me energy. I stretch my hands before I head to the bathroom.

I'm all prepared. My backpack with complete notes, folders filled with activity papers and money. I'm sure I'm not forgetting anything.
"I'll be heading now!" I head my way to the door and shut it behind me.
A cold wind blows from above, the quarter moon still visible on the edge of sunrise. The area is still dark as the sun is about to rise.
As I walk on the street, a wind continues to blow from behind in a soft way. Looking around, the trees aren't affected by the wind...strange.
...
...
...
...
The sun already rose from the horizon, the streets are filled with the sunlight. Cars pass by and the road to school is just across the street. The cold air disappeared before I knew it.
"Yow Lance!" I look on my right and see my friend walking towards me. "Early huh?"
"Yes, you're pretty early too."
"Yeah I'm still sleepy."
After the traffic lights turn green, we cross the pedestrian lane. We continue our way to the school and there's not much students yet.
Only juniors are around, their class starts at six. I think we're the only seniors that can be seen I guess?
"By the way, have you heard?" Mark, my friend asks. "That sir physics aren't around for today?"
...!?
"YOU SURE!?"
"That some hopes on your eyes there, yes he will not be around for today "
Finally I can breath. Our physics adviser doesn't teach us fully. He only gives some notes and lectures and expects us to understand it. We already reported him to the other teachers but nothing happened. Now we have to endure this treatment.
Passing by the wall, Mark suddenly rips a paper off from the wall. He crumbles and throws it to an open trash bin just beside a street light.
"What was that...?"
"A doodle of a pp with my name just below it...."
"What...?"
"Look! The gang is making fun of me because I lost to a rock-paper, scissors!"
"Not my problem..."
"Cold..."

The classroom is still locked and Mark went off somewhere. We arrived here too early. But I could chill since it's still quiet... I wonder if she already arrived.
I have nothing to do right now...maybe I should study instead...just in case we get a surprised quiz.
I pull out my mathematics notebook from my backpack. Flipping through pages until I reach the last topic we discussed.
I lean against the wall beside the front door and sat, focused on my reading.
"Such a good student really."
I lift up my head and she stood before me. Looking down with her arms behind her back. She smirks before moving backwards as I stand up.
"That scared me a little..." I close my notebook. "Good morning by the way."
"Yeah good morning. Do you usually come this early?"
"Mhm... And also, I've been meaning to ask this."
"What is it?"
"What year level are you on?" I cross my arms. "I know you're a junior but what specifically?"
"Third year. Why do you ask? I thought you knew already..."
"Nothing..."
I just wanted to start a conversation...I don't have my handbook of "How To Make Friends"....
"To be honest, I'm quite shocked you haven't really noticed it yet..."
"Noticed what?"
"No nothing...I meant you don't notice the girls passing by looking at you?" She points at the female juniors on the ground staring at us. "Guess you're really admired~"
"Don't mind it..." I sigh. "But...do you think the same as them?"
"What do you mean..."
"I'm worth of admiration because I'm a model student?"
"Don't get too cocky, cause if I think the same as them it would be uncomfortable for you right?"
"Yeah..."
I experienced it...girls approached me and only asked about how I reach the top and how I do. They only care of my achievements not anything else about me. I mean, why would people approach you aside from things that makes you stand out?
Just like the guy yesterday, he was ignored because he doesn't have anything to be noticed for. Even protecting the girl from stalkers.
Being a nice guy but poor sure is being put aside than those who are wealthy and successful who's selfish. "I choose poor but nice..." What a lie...
That's why I think being dramatic because of those things are people who's short-sighted. Doesn't understand that having nothing means you're nothing according to the society.
I'm surprised she knows what I view. She's the one who I bene talking too so yeah... she's what I consider friend. Mark is just someone I know.
Our silence remain, students who pass by stare at me with skeptical look and cringed look. They're probably haters and curious because I'm with someone.
Huh...?
