The Fight Against the Abyssal Tyrant

(Samuel's POV)

The Abyssal Tyrant lunged, its massive tendrils whipping through the air, aiming to crush us in a single blow. The force behind it was monstrous, enough to shatter mountains.

Henry and I moved instantly—he blinked out of sight with Celestial Blink, while I used Void Step, vanishing into the abyss and reappearing behind the creature.

I didn't hesitate—I struck first.

BOOM!

My Abyssal Gauntlets collided with its back, unleashing a shockwave strong enough to tear through the cavern walls. The entire dungeon shook, cracks spiderwebbing across the ground.

But then—it didn't even flinch.

"The hell?" I muttered.

The Tyrant's six void-like eyes gleamed as its body shuddered—and then, right before my eyes, its flesh hardened, shifting into a dark reinforced exoskeleton, adapting to my destruction-based power.

Henry reappeared above it, his Sword of the First Dawn glowing with divine energy, and slashed downward—

SLASH!

A golden arc of celestial energy ripped through the air—

Only for the Tyrant to raise its claw, absorbing the attack like it was nothing.

Then it did something insane.

It copied Henry's sword strike—an exact replica of his own divine attack—and sent it flying back at him.

"Shit!" Henry cursed, barely managing to teleport out of the way as his own attack nearly cut him in half. The impact against the ground detonated, sending me flying backward.

I crashed hard, skidding across the obsidian-like floor, coughing up blood.

"What the actual fuck?" I groaned, gripping my side.

Henry reappeared beside me, his face grim.

"It can copy attacks." His voice was sharp. "Not just adapt—it can use our own abilities against us."

I wiped the blood from my mouth, forcing a grin.

"That's just fucking great."

The Tyrant roared, the cavern vibrating under its sheer presence, and then its tendrils twisted and reformed—now coated in golden divine energy.

My stomach dropped.

"It just copied your power," I said, eyes narrowing.

Henry clenched his fists. "Which means it's now got both Abyssal Destruction and Celestial Energy."

As if to prove our worst fears, the Tyrant vanished—using Void Step, the very technique I had just used earlier.

"MOVE!" I shouted.

But it was too fast.

It reappeared behind Henry, its tendril morphing into a massive golden sword, and slashed straight for him.

Henry barely had time to raise his own sword to block—

CLANG!!!

The impact sent shockwaves through the entire dungeon, the force of the attack sending Henry flying like a meteor. He crashed through the cavern wall, blood spraying from his mouth.

"HENRY!" I roared.

But I had no time to move—because in the next instant, the Tyrant was in front of me, its tendrils now glowing with a dark abyssal fire—my own power, fully absorbed.

It drove a claw straight through my chest.

"Agh—!" I gasped as blood erupted from my mouth, my entire body screaming in pain.

The claw twisted, digging deeper, ripping through muscle and bone.

I tried to counterattack—I raised my fist for a punch—but it was faster.

It grabbed my arm, and with a brutal, sickening snap—

It broke my right arm.

"FUCK!" I roared, pain exploding through my body.

Then, with inhuman strength, it lifted me up by my impaled chest and threw me like a ragdoll, slamming me into the cavern wall.

I barely registered the sound of my own bones cracking as I collapsed to the ground.

I couldn't breathe. My vision blurred. My body refused to move.

The system flashed red.

[WARNING: CRITICAL INJURY DETECTED!]

[WARNING: LIFE FORCE DROPPING RAPIDLY!]

My mind screamed at me to get up, but my body was breaking down.

The Tyrant slowly approached, its monstrous form towering over me, looking down at me as if I were nothing more than a dying insect.

It spoke again, its voice like a chorus of death itself.

"Weak. You are nothing but children pretending to be kings."

I gritted my teeth, blood dripping from my lips.

"Like hell I am," I spat.

Then, golden light exploded from the other side of the cavern.

Henry.

He was back on his feet, his entire body engulfed in pure celestial fire, his golden eyes burning like twin suns. His aura exploded outward, the sheer power shaking the dungeon.

"Samuel, GET UP!" he roared.

I forced myself to move, dragging my battered body up as black abyssal energy surged around me once more.

The Tyrant paused, its void-like eyes flickering as it realized—

We weren't done yet.

"I don't care how many attacks you copy," I growled, my Abyssal Gauntlets reactivating, the darkness flaring back to life. "I don't care if you adapt to every phenomenon in existence."

Henry stepped beside me, his Sword of the First Dawn burning like a divine sun.

"Because there's one thing you'll NEVER copy."

The Tyrant snarled, but for the first time—it took a step back.

Henry grinned. "Our will to win."

We charged forward.

And the real fight began.
