The Cooper family sat in the living room talking about Silver.
"Lily, help me with my nose," Ryder said, holding an ice pack to his face.
Lily rolled her eyes but took the ice pack from him. Their parents, Mr. James Cooper and Mrs. Evelyn Cooper, sat on the sofa, looking worried.
James turned to his parents. "Mom, Dad, you should go back to the old house. We'll handle Silver's attitude," he said.
Grandpa looked concerned. "Are you sure? She's acting very strange."
"Yes, Dad," James said firmly, leading them outside to the car. "Don't worry about it."
After their grandparents left, Vicky sat down and asked his mom, "Mom, is it possible for someone to change overnight? How can Silver change just like that? And she even signed the divorce papers willingly?"
Lily finished treating Ryder's nose and sighed. "I don't know. I can't believe what I saw today. Silver has never acted this way before."
Ryder frowned. "Maybe after she sleeps tonight, we can check her again tomorrow morning. Maybe it's the side effects of the fall."
Just as Ryder was about to say something else, Cici walked out of the guest room. She looked fragile, with a small bandage on her head. She smiled sweetly and greeted Ryder's parents, "Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Cooper. Uncle, Aunty."
She sat down next to Ryder and touched his arm gently. "Ryder, is Silver okay?"
Lily rolled her eyes. "Cici, why are you still asking about that woman?"
Cici lowered her eyes and said in a soft voice, "I'm asking because she's still Ryder's wife and Mrs. Cooper. I care about her."
Before anyone could reply, they all turned in surprise as Silver walked downstairs in her pajamas. She didn't say a word and walked straight into the kitchen.
Vicky smirked. "I bet she's making dinner for Ryder to apologize. But don't forgive her too easily, Ryder."
Silver finished making a bowl of noodles and turned to the maid standing nearby. "Tell the family if they're hungry, they should ask you to cook dinner for them," Silver said. "I don't want them to die yet. They still owe me."
The maid's eyes widened in shock. "B-But... Ma'am, you always cook Mr. Ryder's meals yourself..."
Silver picked up her bowl. "Not anymore," she said, heading upstairs.
Before she could leave, Cici stepped in front of her with a fake smile. "Silver, you don't have to cook for Ryder. He won't eat it."
Silver looked at Cici from head to toe, remembering her description from the comic book. She smirked. "Who said I cooked for that pussycat man? I cooked for myself. Everyone else should cook their own food. Or maybe you can cook for them, Cici."
Cici's face turned pale.
Silver leaned in closer and whispered, "Oh wait... if I remember correctly, you can't cook. Didn't you burn the kitchen before and blame me? And everyone fell for it, like the fools they are."
Cici gasped. "I-I don't know what you're talking about."
Silver rolled her eyes and turned to leave. "Gosh, how can this family be so stupid?" she muttered under her breath.
Vicky, Lily, and Ryder stared at her in shock.
"Did she just call us stupid?" Lily whispered.
Ryder clenched his fists. "Something is seriously wrong with her."
Cici forced a smile. "Maybe she's just tired. Ryder, you should take care of her."
Silver turned around at the door and smirked. "No need. I can take care of myself. You all take care of your own mess." Then she walked upstairs, leaving everyone speechless.
Silver entered her room and sat on the bed. She ate her noodles peacefully while looking at the ATM card Ryder had given her.
In her real world, she was just a salesgirl who made $1,000 every month. But now? She had Ryder's ATM card! That alone was worth it.
She shook her head. "Why was the real Silver Moe so stupid?" she muttered.
In the comic, Silver Moe had graduated with the best results in fashion design. She was the youngest designer in the industry. But because of stupid love, she quit everything!
She even stopped talking to her male friends so Ryder wouldn't get jealous. But in the end, what happened? He still cheated on her!
Silver dropped the empty plate and looked around. "Where's her phone?" she wondered.
She checked the bedside drawer and found it. She unlocked the phone and scrolled through the contacts.
She saw two names: Noah Centineo and Abraham Voles.
These two were Silver's closest friends from high school. They had been close until she met Ryder a few years after graduation.
Silver smirked. "Time to bring back old friends."
She opened the friends' group chat. It was a group with only boys.
She typed: "Hi."
Immediately, the boys were shocked.
Noah: Is this real?
Abraham: Silver??? After 4 years??
Silver chuckled and made a voice note:
"Hey, guys. I'm really sorry for disappearing. Can you come pick me up tomorrow morning? I'll spend the whole day with you."
The chat exploded.
Noah: OMG, yes!
Abraham: Finally! We missed you so much!
Other boys: Welcome back, Queen!
Silver smiled, dropped the phone, and lay down on the bed.
"Tomorrow is going to be fun." She thought before closing her eyes to sleep.
