Chapter 28: If I Like You, I’ll Tease You

Su Jin's face turned crimson, her heart racing. She felt like she was about to explode with embarrassment.

She could feel his breath on her skin, the warmth of his body, the slight tremor in him as he gazed at her intensely. Everything about this moment made her heart tremble.

At this point, she wished she could just cut off her hands. What was supposed to be a simple task of "wiping him down" had turned into something completely different. What had started as an innocent act had evolved into a flirtation, a teasing game, something that felt almost like a prank with a wicked twist.

There was nothing she could do—Luo Xian was simply in love with making Su Jin blush, with her adorable, flustered expressions. He adored teasing her, bullying her, showering her with affection... He just couldn't stop himself!

When he liked her, he couldn't help but tease her, play with her, and make her fluster even more.

Su Jin's eyes widened as she stared at him, her expression a mix of surprise and shyness.

And it was these very eyes that drove Luo Xian wild.

He slowly lifted his head, his arm wrapping around her neck, pulling her head down toward him.

One was lying on the bed, and the other was standing beside it.

And it was in this position that Luo Xian's kiss landed softly on her eye.

"I love your eyes," he murmured, his voice smooth like velvet. "The moment you became mine, those eyes became mine as well. So, from now on, all they'll see is me, no one else."

In that moment, Su Jin's heart fluttered, as if her heart had been kissed by a feather.

Luo Xian's voice broke through her thoughts: "So, are you going to continue, or should I?"

Continue?

She knew what he meant. If she didn't keep going, if she didn't finish wiping him down, he would take over.

Su Jin's face turned even redder, and she couldn't bring herself to protest anymore.

After all, with a man like Luo Xian—one who mixed arrogance, a bit of bad-boy charm, and undeniable elegance—any protests from her were utterly useless.

"I'll do it... I'll continue."

So, with trembling hands, Su Jin's slightly chubby fingers began working on the buttons of Luo Xian's hospital gown. But for some reason, she just couldn't get the first button undone. No matter how hard she tried, it felt like the task was impossible.

And of course, she couldn't ignore the intense, burning gaze he was giving her as she tried. The heat from his eyes made her even more nervous. Her fingers shook as she struggled to open the button.

Finally, she lowered her head, unable to meet his gaze, and muttered, "I... I can't get it open."

In that moment, she felt utterly embarrassed, humiliated even, as she sought help from him—the very man who had put her in this awkward situation.

Her face burned with shame. How could she be so nervous? Every time her hands touched his body, her fingers went weak. It was as though she couldn't summon the strength to do what she needed.

The truth was, it was the atmosphere that made it so impossible for her to stay calm.

But this was exactly what Luo Xian enjoyed: teasing her, tormenting her, making her shy. It was all part of the fun for him.

She heard his soft laugh above her, and she glanced up to find him smirking at her.

His voice was teasing. "What should we do now? Baby, what do you think?"

Luo Xian's fingers moved playfully, pinching her cheek, tapping it as though he was scolding a child. "You've gained weight lately, haven't you? I've been feeding you too well."

Su Jin blushed harder, both embarrassed and irritated by his words.

He smirked and suggested, "How about this: If you can't get a button off in the next ten seconds, I'll help you. But here's the catch: You'll have to take a button off my shirt in return. I wonder if that'll motivate you?"

Su Jin was about to lose her mind. Was he serious? This was all his doing!

She glared at him, but she knew exactly what he was up to. He was purposely teasing her, making her uncomfortable. This was all part of his twisted enjoyment.

And just like that, the pressure pushed her into action. She gritted her teeth and tried again, only this time, her hands worked with force. As she struggled, something snapped.

The sound of fabric tearing filled the room.

Before she could register what had happened, she realized she had ripped his gown open. The shock hit her like a thunderclap. She stared at the torn fabric in disbelief.

Her face flushed a deeper shade of crimson. She couldn't believe what she had done.

She had completely lost control. Her fingers still hovered over the torn gown as she stared at her own handiwork, unsure of what to do next.

And then, just as she thought things couldn't get worse, the door suddenly opened with a sharp knock.

Luo Xian's first reaction was to pull her into his arms, shielding her from view. Su Jin's body trembled from the shock, and she couldn't even stifle the tiny gasp that escaped her lips.

He could feel her fear—the way her body stiffened in his arms—and he knew it was all because of the unexpected interruption.

Luo Xian's protective instincts kicked in, but beneath that, his eyes turned cold and deadly as they locked onto the intruder.

The woman who had barged in was none other than An Xin, the nurse. She had been knocking for a while but received no response, so she had decided to come in.

What she saw made her gasp in shock. The sight of a man and woman tangled together in such an intimate moment was enough to send her into a fit of panic.

But An Xin quickly recovered, her face twisting into a smile. Jealousy and cunning flashed in her eyes as she thought to herself, So, she's not the only one trying to get close to Luo Xian. I knew it...

She adjusted her expression, pretending to be embarrassed as she apologized to Luo Xian. "I'm so sorry, sir. I knocked, but..."

Luo Xian's eyes, cold as ice, met hers without a flicker of emotion. His lips curled into a devilish smile.

"Is something wrong?" he asked, his voice calm and composed, but there was an underlying current of danger in his tone.

"I came to get the tray," An Xin replied, a bit hesitant.

"And?" Luo Xian's voice dropped, laced with a hint of seduction. His gaze never wavered, and his smile grew wider.

An Xin felt her pulse quicken as she took a step forward, trying to hide the growing unease in her chest. She bent down to grab the tray, and as she did, she accidentally let her business card slip from her pocket.

It fluttered to the ground, and with a flick of her foot, she pushed it toward Luo Xian, her eyes glinting with unspoken intentions.

Her act was deliberate—so deliberate, in fact, that it was almost too obvious.

But Luo Xian didn't even bat an eye. His face remained a mask of indifference. He was so adept at hiding his thoughts that An Xin couldn't tell what he was thinking.

"I understand," he said, his tone remaining cool and emotionless.

An Xin, however, didn't let up. Her body language screamed confidence as she spun on her heel, giving Luo Xian one last flirtatious look before leaving the room.

As the door clicked shut behind her, Luo Xian's expression changed. His eyes became colder than before, and his lips curved into a wicked grin.

"Don't worry, baby," he whispered to Su Jin, who was still in his arms. "She's gone."

Su Jin's face was still beet-red, and her heart pounded in her chest. She looked up at Luo Xian, a mix of exasperation and embarrassment in her eyes.

"You're impossible, you know that?" she muttered, embarrassed by everything that had just happened.

Luo Xian leaned down to kiss her gently, his lips brushing hers tenderly. "I know, but you love me anyway."

Su Jin sighed, unable to argue. She buried her face in his chest, knowing full well that he would never change.

But somehow, that was exactly what made him so irresistible.
